Took his goal well but then his finishing went back to what we’ve seen and he was hitting stray passes, it has to be more than a confidence issue as he’s been like this for 5 years at 3 different clubs.

2nd highest earner at the club and that was his first goal since March. Just not good enough.

Great effort last night from the lads and there were a couple of super moves that didn't get rewarded. That Solanke pass to release Werner was glorious! <cracker>
Hope there's good news about Micky today! <yikes>

Anyone seen the vid of van de Ven?

To clarify, it’s mud, but it definitely looks like he’s **** himself as the mud falls through his shorts <laugh>.

Poor guy’s gonna get pelters now.

Pep says City are down to the bare bones because of injuries.

If it had been one of City's youngsters, there would have been a week of wall to wall coverage, a 10-part documentary and a Red Arrows display over Manchester.

I mentioned how depleted their bench looked on the weekend at the start of this thread and it's got worse. That's on City, though.
They sold Alvarez for £81m and didn't replace him and it showed. They still don't have a proper left-back, either.
O'Reilly, McAtee and Wright all look talented and athletic, but there was nobody doing Haaland's job.

You are favourites but you may be in for a Ruud awakening.
The team had its attacking mojo back last night, although the defence still looks shaky.

Yeah they seem to have a smaller and smaller squad every season. I think Haaland has played every minute of the PL which is why they didn’t play him at all last night. If he gets injured then they’re in massive trouble.

Unfortunately, it seems inevitable that they'll look to rectify this as soon as possible and sign a few players in January. There's no chance they keep their current squad as is.

So for those keeping score: at the weekend we lost to a team that hasn't won a game all season, then in midweek we beat a team that hasn't lost a game all season

I think it depends on Pep staying. If he leaves then they might wait and give their new manager a war chest in the summer and a chance to make the squad his own.

Given the state of their board on here, you'd need a Post-It Note for it

I fully intended to start last night and went on their pre-match thread (the ****ers have four separate threads per game! pre-match, matchday, post-match and MOTM) and it was just full of them saying "throw the game", "play the kids", "**** the comp off" so I gave in early as the source material wasn't good enough, lol.

I'll probably have a proper butchers through all their threads tomorrow and see if I can find some good stuff but I got the feeling they really didn't give a **** about the game and that makes it tough to mug them off on. I'm sure I'll find something though with a bit of digging.
