The differences between them and us are startling. When they get the ball, they turn and run with others overlapping.

When we get the ball we just pass it at a pedestrian pace. Our intensity level is too low.

 

Rubbish.
The issue, which I am now sick to death of after seasons of it, is
this SLOW SLOW SIDEWAYS passing out of defence.

I don't mind the opposition regaining the ball, as long as it is in
their half and not our third.

If defenders cannot do anything other than the above, pick those that can.

Not convinced by KWP, poor first touch and dawdles on the ball, an accident waiting to happen.

 

I really, really, really wish I saw what most of you and Poch see in Winks. Makes me wanna gauge my eyes out.

Tbh 2-1 is better than I expected though after seeing that lineup.

 

We need Super Jan and Sir Eric of Engerland for some ****housery.

 

DH called it before the game, bad selection and another wasted half. It seemed slightly harsh to me at the time but that's because I assumed Lucas was injured and didn't realise he was on the bench until I saw him warm up.

We're badly lacking pace going forward and as good as Lamela was for the goal, we need Eriksen in his best position and Lucas is bettter off the left than the right.

Thank VAR and a great finish from Lamela that we're still in the game tbh.

 

Eriksen has barely touched the ball...we need find a way to get him involved...cos without Eriksen on the ball Kane is getting no service.

 

I have never seen us play so little football - City absolutely dominant but we are totally passive offering nothing at all.

Poch needs to get into them and send them out to actually try and play - Lucas must come on for one of the midfielders to give us an option to hit long

 

He is a squad player at PL level, does a fair bit better in CL level
as the MF is nowhere near as hectic (so he can play) .

However the problem today has been no MF pressing, and
a busparquet withdrawal of one line of 6-7 rather than two banks of 4
(having it done to us often enough you would think we would
understand how to do the latter) .

 

Ndombele has to come on at HT surely?

 

They take more of their chances as the game goes on so I can see another tonking coming up

Not looking good., but in reality this all could've been expected.

This game has come too soon for Spurs. We are a club with a lot of unsettled players, for one reason or another.
