Bernardo Silva refuses to take the man of the match award, instead handing it to match-winner Michael Oliver. Sorry, I mean Phil Foden. Probably.
Only managed to catch the first half hour, sounds like we were all over them for a decent spell of the game and deserved at least a point?
We had a number of breakaway chances and failed to take advantage of them, plus a couple of penalty shouts. They had most of the possession and territory, but didn't really create that much considering. Also, Michael Oliver is ****.
should have probably gone and won it. You had the better of the chances and should have put at least 2 of them away. As PNP said, City didn't really create many chances, had a lot of the ball, got into good positions but no end product.
the eriksen one should have been a pen (its annoying refs don't give those when a player shoots after). I have to disagree with walkers one. I've seen them given but similar to llorentes the other night, his arm was in a natural position, down by his side (or as close as) and they weren't getting out of the way.
I thought that he used his arm intentionally to make sure the ball went out of play. If he had been trying to move his arm away from it, it would have fallen for Deli.
4 wins needed now to get top 4, should have got at least a point today, as others have said Foyth and Sanchez were excellent today Ciry really created very little and considering now short of players we were we gave a very good account of ourselves. As for Michael Oliver, he is miles from being the best ref in the league, he needs to look at the quality of the referees in the champions league and see how much better they are,- he was awful again today, gave us plenty of free kicks in the easy areas but nothing where we might have created something.
Oliver bottled it in the passage when aguero lunged in and he waved play on because we had the ball and from then on citeh felt the had cart blanch to do as the pleased
Agree completely. Eriksen’s was a blatant pull, but there’s no need for him to go down. And he shouldnt have to, just to win a penalty.
Bit surprised we lost it. However in three matches against the top team in the country we beat them by one goal and lost two matches only by one goal, I'm hopeful for the rest of the season.
