Thank **** VAR is coming in next year. At least it’ll somewhat help these incompetent premier league refs. ****ing useless, all of them.
At the start of this match Neville and Tyler were lauding Michael Oliver as the leagues best ref. If he’s the benchmark from which others have to reach, no wonder officiating is so ****.
Ah well. Didn’t expect anything, and actually, we did deserve something. 1-0 doesn’t do much to the goal difference either. Let’s hope our rivals slip up this weekend. 3 home games left, and only 1 away. COYS.
FT 1-0. An undeserved defeat. City were using every trick in the book and got away with a blatant penalty. ****ing robbed.
Of course the BBC's take is he plastics should complain about Michael Oliver's calls **** the **** off you far-right enabling twats
Could and should have won that, putting aside the stonewall penalty. Disappointing really. Better chances, particularly in the first half. Forth was excellent as was Big Dave. Didn't destroy our goal difference though. One plus I guess.
Almost every time the ball was in the air a Citeh defender gave our forwards a nudge, and since they were not penalised they continued to do it. As was said if that's the league's best ref, we're in trouble. And we may get VAR in the PL next year, but it won't be applied equally.
A 1-0 loss feels like a draw/win to me. Credit to the boys for that performance (much more than I expected, given the availables) . Spurs part in the title race is now done. Will not be us to blame for whoever ends up champions at the end.
Foyth MOTM closely followed by Sanchez. They doubled up brilliantly on Sterling and Sane throughout the game. Shame Toby let us down for the goal. Was in no man’s land. 1-0 loss ain’t a terrible thing away at the etihad but somewhat frustrating knowing we could’ve scored 3 or 4.
Pleased with the performance, we deserved a draw. Oliver once again showing why the refereeing in this country isn't good enough. He was scared to give bookings, scared to give us the pens and at the end when Sterling is clearly the aggressor, books Jan too. He couldn't wait to give the win to City and get off the pitch, didn't want to give anything that might bring attention to him. We've suffered from this all season in the big games. Should have had pens at OT and Liverpool(home), Pogba should have gone in the home game against United, Mendy should've been sent off in the home City game and then there was the pen we should have had today. Wish they'd just come out and say that they're suspending the rules for our matches and save us the confusion.
Interesting.... They spend about a trillion pounds on players.... we spend zilch., and yet there has only been one goal between the teams in each match played this season. Fantastic management by MP and well played the lads. You are (all) truly like gladiators of the modern age.
