South stand played their part with flicking the elastic bands onto the pitch in the 2nd half <applause>

I went for a piss and saw the goal on the screen in the toilets. They showed the VaR angles on the screen on there!

    Brilliant performance.

Definitely don't sit back, we need to throttle their midfield and get the away goal sucker punch in the first half

Talk of Son offside. What happened when we scored, did you pee on the ceiling or down your trousers?

Well that was a strange game...totally not what I expected and I think that was more down to the way City were set up than anything. Weirdly they seemed to play within themselves and seemed more interested in containing us than stretching us, which led to the game being played at a bizarrely slow pace in a below par atmosphere for the most part. I'll catch up with the whole thread shortly, just wanted to say:
    - If that was a penalty, football is scrwed.
    - If that was a penalty AND a yellow, football should just be played by amputees and be done with it.
    - So angry with Kane. I get that he's pumped up and eager to affect a match but to go flying in for a 50/50 ball going literally nowhere was such a stupid error of judgement. Just hope he recovers soon but it doesn't look good.
    - Danny Rose, Moussa, Toby and Jan all superb.
    - Trippier didn't give me a heart attack so hats off to him.
    - Eriksen and Winks need to have far more of an impact on games at this level.
    - Dele and Son busy and both played well.

Being the natural optimist that i am, I can't see 1 goal being enough but we live in hope.

It's been quite a while since Eriksen has been worth his place.

We scored as I went into the toilets. Pissing under control during the VaR review.

2nd leg we can expect De Bruyne, Sane and B Silva back. I would play 433 and pack the central midfield to stifle them cutting inside/the 2 Silvas influencing the game:

    Hugo
    Huever Toby Jan Rose
    Sissoko Winks Dele
    Son Lucas Eriksen

Not sure Dele will be fit because if his wrist? I’d have Llorente up top for the outlet and Son and Lucas off him.

I thought we just about deserved the win in what was an even game. The penalty decision was harsh but I can see why it was given, and City were lucky to keep 11 men on the pitch what with Fernandinho`s assault on Kane, Mahrez`s deliberate dangerous foul on Lucas and Delph`s tackle on Kane, accidental or not Delph`s action was dangerous.

A great penalty save from Hugo to protect the away goal and a goal for us at The Emptihad should make things very interesting and give us a great chance, though I am still expecting us to go out in the second leg.
