They've scored something like 5,3,5,3 in their last four matches whereas we've had something like 1,2,1,2 so if we can keep this down to one then we've done well.
We are lacking belief in our ability it seems...that's leading to low intensity. Frustrating watch...still in but just about. Our defence is a shambles the way they allowed them to walk through for the Mahrez effort Lloris tipped onto the post
If we are going to get every decision against us anyway, we might as well give Friend something definite to get upset about. Dier or Sissoko to do a 'Ramos'
0-1 at half time and City are good value for their lead. I still think we can score but can’t see us keeping them out again for another 45 minutes.
Hopefully the second half doesn't see us play like we're trying to defend an away goals lead in the 98th minute of the second leg Also, spare a thought for people using the BBC match tracker, as they have to endure Chris Sutton's "contributions"
Both Trippier and Davies are struggling. Trippier has wasted several great opportunities and defended poorly. Davies looks a shadow of the 2017/18 version. And Big Dave still looks like a rabbit caught in the headlights too often. We are not out of this yet.... But ....
We are making lots of openings but not making the most of them. City attacking mostly on the break and always look dangerous around our box but I don't think we are out of this.
The one shining light we have at the moment is that we have three elite game changers on the bench who can hopefully come on and do something.
tripps is not having a good game. Am impressed with Lamela but three times he loses possession during attacks but his passing is inventive. Sissokko is having a good game in midfield but not so good up front. Central defence is good and a great save from Lloris kept the score down to 1. I would sub Moura, Dembele and for Christ's sake, keep Sissoko on!
If we have a player named Anybody on the bench, they'd be the perfect halftime replacement for Dembele
