I think that's largely a coincidence, to be honest. They didn't really change. Chelsea and City did, while us and the Scouse advanced. Arsenal were used to fighting it out with Utd for quite a while and Harding, then Abramovich changed that. City's cash injection changed it more. They didn't adapt that much under Wenger and it cost them. I don't think money had a lot to do with it.
Not a lot to do with where they play. Wenger introduced his mega fitness regime which worked well until everyone else copied him. It then exposed his lack of coaching nous.
Maybe so but the stadium was supposed to take them to the next level, but in the end it made little difference to their decline. A lot of fans here are saying be patient because the new WHL will improve things for Spurs. Ultimately, I’m trying to say is that if it didn’t help Arsenal then why would it help Spurs?
It took them to a new financial level. They've chosen to use that power questionably. It would be down to us not to make the same mistakes.
It will give us a chance to enter the euro superleague when it comes, without it, we would be left behind. One also needs a decent coach and decent players, youth set up, training centre etc., it is only a small part of the jigsaw, but without it, one will never see the full picture. Brian has posted a number of very good posts on the subject, well worth considering. Money doesn't always buy success, but a lack of it guarantees failure.
