No one saw that coming. Seeing as 3 out of 4 of our fullbacks have been distinctly average at best, there has to be an opportunity for KWP soon. I don’t know how he’s not been picked yet.
Dembele is getting caught in possession, the defence is nervous and the midfield generally lacking bite. Apart from that we’re doing ok!
Watching us play out from the back is quite painful to watch. Really only Vertonghen looks comfortable doing it. Rose has been dogsh*t so far going forward and defending.
Trippier in no mans land again against Sane, who has hugged the touch line since the first minute. When he realised he was there, he pointed to Eriksen to press him, yet Eriksen was further away. City manage to get the ball easily to gundogan on the edge of the box to have a free shot at goal.
I know City are good but this performance is dreadful - no cohesion, and ridiculous decion making. COYS - get a grip!!
Whilst rose has been poor, they aren’t even bothering to target him down the right, despite having Walker and Sterling’s pace. They know how out of his depth Trippier is against Sane. If we don’t change this, it’s gonna be a long evening and a cricket score.
