I have just been told that I could be heard celebrating our second goal 2 detached houses away. Also the use of the word "****" on a number of occasions was mentioned. Fortunately, only in jest.

That must be first time we have ever had that luck. Normally the refs give them against us when they are not. Makes up for Mariner taking no action for Sane's disgraceful foul on Walker. I would wager a lot of money that does not feature on MOTD tonight

I would have said he 'bossed' in the Chelsea game. It finished 2-0, if my memory serves.
He appears now to be struggling a bit, these days, for fitness

My memory might be hazy but I felt Dembele was awful at the Bridge and decent at the Library, but outshone by Winks and Wanyama who were both excellent.

  6. Redknapp, Stevie G and some odd-looking Irish bloke in the studio doing the post-match analysis, and all of them slagging us off.

Okay, we didn't play as well as we all know we can, but Poch was forced into changing our shape, and we had, at best, a make-shift defence. I don't think we did badly.

Let's face it, but for two awful goal-keeping errors from Lloris, we could and should have won that game.

Positives: (1) we scored with practically our only two real attacks on goal; (2) despite going 2-0 down away from home to a team that cost the Arab sugar-daddies £half-a-billion, we stuck to it and came away with a draw.

All in all, and despite the inevitable slating we're taking from the so-called "professional" pundits, that was a good result for us, and a solid performance.

Very nice comments from Guardiola about us in his interview. Loves watching us on TV, and we are a top, top, top team

If Sane had got the red he deserved for that it would have been a different game.

Bad time to play City, they were always going to respond to a week of being told that they are now crap. Today they were very good and should have won, but we dug in and got a point which I would have taken at the start and after the match I am extremely grateful for.

Agree with the comments about Wanyama, superb today, Rose was good too, but we were chasing shadows for much of the game and City deserve credit for that, thought that they very good, and that Guardiola got his tactics right today. We got a lucky point, but we will all take that.

Citeh battered Chelsea up there and lost. It was nearly as one sided as tonight. We could have been done 5 or 6 and had little complaint. The fact is that they scored 2 of the most ridiculously stupid goals we'll ever concede and we got 2 belters from our only 2 chances. Football? Bloody hell.

He's a proper football man. Loves the game to be attacking and entertaining, he represents everything that's better about football in Europe compared to the PL. Lots of journalists couldn't wait to have a swipe at him because of it. They're too afraid to criticise Mourinho and to in love to criticise Klopp so no doubt he'll remain the target.

  16. Exactly!

I know that I must sound like some conspiracy-theory nut-job, but the only one who said good things in the post-match analysis was Pep, and even then the ****er-reporter tried to stir him over the Walker push. Credit to Pep, he didn't take the bait.

3-4 years ago we would've gone on to lose that 6-0. We have 2 tricky but very winnable games coming up against Sunderland and Boro. 6 points from those is essential ahead of our trip to Anfield.

Anyone got any news about Toby? I'm hoping it was more of a precautionary measure than a full-blown 'ping'.

I disagree this was down to a great committed performance from City. We were not allowed to play. It is one eyed to just blame us for a poor performance. There were two teams on the pitch and one was super motivated to restore their pride and don't forget we actually scored two good goals whereas City were gifted two. We actually could have won this.

The one that immediately comes to mind was Balotelli stamping on Scott Parker's head, not being sent off as he should have been then scoring their winner

Well that was a point I was elated to win in the end!

No doubt about it, that performance was up (or should I say down) there with the Utd and Leverkusen performances. We just didn't seem at the races. We were there for the taking and City for some reason just couldn't seem to hit a barn door and ended up relying on two massive cock-ups from Hugo to actually get a lead, though the less said about Hugo's mistakes the better.

Unfortunately Wimmer looked really lost out there, hard to really castrate him as his game time has been so limited this season that rustiness is bound to creep in and three of the four league games he's played in this season have been away against Arsenal, Chelsea and City which is tough (Watford was away too!) but he just looked poor and even seemed lacking in some basics. Hasn't done himself any favours of retaining that spot while Jan's out. I'd like to think Poch will give him another chance based on how well he done in Jan's absence last season but I wouldn't be too surprised if we either went with a Dier-Toby partnership and bring Son in to the starting XI or if Davies comes into the back 3.

Was really surprised and disappointed to see Dembele come off, thought he was the only one of our attacking players that was actually getting on the ball and moving forward. Kane got an assist while Alli scored a goal but both were anonymous throughout, as was Eriksen, I think all three must have had a combined total of about two minutes on the ball throughout the game.

Walker was lucky not to concede a penalty but to be fair Marriner had a woeful game, typically it's the decision that should've gone against us that gets all the spotlight but I didn't see any commentator/ pundit/ media outlet report on the amount of stamps and fouls that should've resulted in bookings for City players go unpunished, some didn't even get blown up for fouls!

Rose was involved in the wars again and made some great tackles in the box, though Wanyama was MOTM for me. Got stuck in like usual and done really well when he had to play CB.

Hopefully Toby's substitution was just a precaution and he'll be fine for the Sunderland match in 11 days, I haven't forgotten Wycombe who we play next Saturday but Kev and CCV will play that regardless of Toby's situation.

To finish off, a photo of a tweet that flashed up on Facebook made me laugh:

"Lloris gave away two goals, Spurs played with two midfielders at CB for 30 minutes and Man City still couldn't beat them".
