Thanks, that line up worries me, I like Milner in that deeper role and think Yaya Toure's best pushed forward like that.

As for away/neutral pubs, there aren't really any near the stadium that I know of. Someone else might know of one on the way as presumably if you're going to fit a few pints in you'll need to be near WHL. Probably best off having a beer on the train or drinking in the stadium.

As for our line up, I think we all have our different ideas on that and with no idea on whether Bale and Lennon are back. The definites are Lloris, Walker, Dawson, Vertonghen, Parker and Dembele and the other 5 will be made up from Naughton, Caulker, Benny, Huddlestone, Carroll, Holtby, Sigurdsson, Dempsey, Bale, Lennon, Ade and Defoe :D

I don't think Silva will be back from what I've heard.

    Just finish 'em off Spurs.

I read an article quoting Platt earlier saying that he wouldn't play midweek so they don't rush him but he'll be back for Sunday.

Carroll...no, you must be joking. I don't expect us to have the ball more than them, they're playing too well, with the freedom of nothing to lose. They dominated United at OT, it is the last MF in the entire league I'd put Carroll in to start against.

Even if Bale plays, I don't expect him to pick up where he left off, all I expect here is a very hard game needing a serious shift put in.

Spurs will want this game more than City IMO and that could just be the difference, but I'm not optimistic.

Spurs might have to play like the away team. Play three in centre midfield to close their ball players down, try to press them in the area between the halfway line and 18 yard box, deny their full backs the chance to give them width on either flank and look to attack them on the counter with pace.

EDIT: And don't just look to close down Silva, Tevez and Aguero because Toure will stride forward into the space vacated and do you. He is in top form at present.

I think City will look to give Wigan a hiding tomorrow to set down a marker for the cup final
The way to play against City is how Everton & saints and every CL side seems to do and that's high tempo pressing giving us no room to play and not sitting back like the idiot Benitez did again at the weekend

If spurs draw or beat City, the likelihood is that Arsenal will have to give Van Persie the guard of honour at the Emirates

    **** that's a strong line up.

Makes it worse that our team is severely depleted.

As for away pubs near the Lane, there isn't really mate. From up the high road in Edmonton coming into Tottenham, the likes of LT's, Gilpins Bell, Coach & Horses, Bricklayers, Alabar, Valentinos/ Rudolphs, Bell & Hare, The Bill Nich - All Spurs only and the bouncers make sure. The only one you may have any luck getting into would be Gilpins Bell, it's a Wetherspoons so just try saying you're not a football fan and you're going for a meal, they might let you in but that's not a guarantee.

You might get a slurp at the Elbow Room pub (yeah, weird name!) on the High Road, its about 3/4's the way along from Seven Sisters tube toward the ground on the left hand side. The owner does let small numbers of quiet away fans in, if you think you're going to start singing songs and taking over...you may miss the game completely waiting in A&E! <laugh>. Seriously though if you just want a quick beer should be ok there. I was in there with a few City fans a couple of years back.

They've come off the back of wins against Utd and Chelsea, we haven't won in 3 of our last home games (Everton, Basel and Fulham), two of them we played dire in. City may be inconsistent at times but they're near full strength where as we could be missing Bale, Lennon and Defoe plus longer term absentees like Sandro and Kaboul.
Everton done us a massive favour and would've raised spirits but it's still a big ask to beat a City team that look like they're coming into form again.

Another possible plus for us is we've had time to rest, and their player's might have one eye on the cup final, and not want to get injured
