there's lots of talk of Ade featuring, with many fans hoping that he and soldado start up front in a 442. Now, I know we're all wanting us to play a more free-flowing style of football, where perhaps there's more support for the strikers, but 442 away against city is asking for big trouble. We need to pick up a point today, with united up next and the bad results we've had recently.

    My team:

    Lloris
    Walker Kaboul Chiriches Vertonghen
    Sandro Paulinho
    Lennon Lamela Townsend
    Defoe

No Dawson, simply due to City's pace and the fact that it's likely we'll play a high line as always. I fear that Dawson could be exposed badly today. And Vertonghen at LB as I'm presuming that Rose is out still? If not, Rose in, and Chiriches to drop to the bench, with Verts playing alongside Kaboul.

Lennon and walker work well together and we all know how much defensive work Lennon does to help his RB.
Townsend on the left to aid Verts with his pace
Defoe up front as He's our quickest striker and I feel that he could cause city's defence problems, should city line up without Kompany & co.
Wingers actually playing on the correct side!
No Holtby as he's done very little in the premiership so far.
A start for Lamela, as it's about ****ing time.

However, I expect us to see this.

    Lloris
    walker Dawon Chiriches Vertonghen
    Sandro Paulinho
    Townsend Holtby Sigurdsson
    Soldado

<doh> anyone got a brick wall?!

Alan Green on MOTD extra,Soldado does more work the Defoe outside the box,but with the chances Spurs are creating, they need someone like Defoe in the box

Is that the definite line up? Looks good. Great to have Kaboul back.

I'm surprised to see Townsend dropped. not that i think it's a bad thing, but i'm surprised AVB's done it. Best of luck to Holtby, he needs a good game today.

Edit: Will also be interesting to see which side Lennon plays on....

I can see why. I love Daws, but I do fear for him today with City's skill, pace and flair.... as well as our high line.

If we lose today it will be a disappointing weekend,as Sutton lost again yesterday one nil, apprently having 80% of the ball, but couldn't score, looks like they have hit their usual pre christmas slump

I think we'll get something today... Provided Toure goes off in the first 5 minutes...
Is it a 3pm kickoff by the way?

  15. Hopefully, ours.
    <whistle>

By the way, it's great to see Ade make the bench. Let's hope he gets a good slice of the second half, and that he's got it in mind to show Soldado and Defoe what a couple of clowns they have been.

Like the look of our team. Much better than the one that was just in my dream (I've just woken up at 5am) which featured Charlie Adam<yikes>. God I was depressed in that dream...

Was it by any chance Chris?

    Taken from BBC.

Chris in London: As a Spurs fan I'm absolutely thrilled to see Hart not make the starting line-up. Had enough of quality keepers after Tim Krul!

    Our side I hope!

Edit: OK, should probably look at previous replies where everyone else's brain works quicker than me!
