He was our only defender on the bench. Suppose we get an injury or a defender gets a red card inside the first 5 minutes. I assume he would be the replacement in which case he should be fully match fit.
Believe it or not, he paired Kaboul and Dawson because they played together in a behind closed doors friendly during the international break and he thought they were outstanding together. Fair enough you might think, until you learn the friendly was against a local non-league side, Enfield Town and we battered them 13-1 !!!!
Considering our other options in that area, that may not have been the case. He wore a mask in training for Romania in the international break, though he played the whole of the second leg. Who else did we have in reserve? Naughton and...? Everyone else seems to be either injured or playing.
What is the mood in the dressing room OS (if you are at liberty to say) . Many are suggesting that AVB has lost the dressing room.
What Gary Neville has just highlighted on the MNF show regarding 6 of our players at kick off yesterday is just unbelievable. Great spot Mr Neville and shame on those players.
For those of us that missed it, what were they doing? Without having a clue what's been said, I'm going to assume that the unprofessional nature of our warm-ups has leaked onto the pitch.
As City kicked off, he froze the screen and highlighted 6 of our players, crouched down and adjusting either their socks or their shin pads or their laces. None of the 6 were even looking at the centre circle where City were starting the game. Kaboul was singled out as the ball came to him, he wasn't ready for it so took the easy option and passed back to Lloris who fluffed his clearance and we go a goal down.
That's just unforgivably amateurish. As I said in my previous post, if you don't pay attention during the warm-up, then when do you start to?
On the plus side, the result wasn't the worst part of my weekend - I had to have my cat put down because he had lung cancer on Saturday, and on Sunday some dickhead skipping a red light damn near killed a friend of mine along with his wife and newborn son
****ing hell I originally skim-read that without reading "near" in the sentence! There really are some ****ing morons driving about.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/25078947 "City moved the ball quicker and were far more dynamic and ambitious." That's all he needed to say.
On the optimistic side Citeh put 6 goals past Manure a couple of seasons back and Manure went on the win the league last season.
And when Redknapp was manager we lost 5-1 and 3-1 to City then Utd in consecutive games before going on a fantastic fun. we now have AVB... (end of optimism)!
I went for 5-0 on our prediction thread, so poor have you been in the past month or so. After three or four matches I thought you'd be title contenders, but AVB seems to have done his best to make you worse...
Wow, that's positive thinking. On the other hand, Wolves lost 0-5 at home to Utd in March last year and are now in League 1.
