I'd rather see Bergwijn on the left, but I'm not sure that I see an alternative to Winksokko, to be honest. Hojbjerg can't and shouldn't play every game, so what else can we do? It's a glaring hole in the squad, for me. Maybe White can force his way in? He's on the bench.

Yeah I’d give White a go. We’re currently doing to him (and Cirkin) what we’ve done to KWP and Skipp in the past. Jose said at the end of last season they’d be part of the first team squad, watching guys train isn’t enough for their development, similar to Clarke too. It’s a very weird lineup for something he said would be full power the other day though, lacking creativity big time. Poor decision not to start Vinicius too, you can’t cry out for a new striker and then barely play them when you get one.
Cirkin and White are only 18 and 19, so it's probably a little too early to chuck them in with Walker-Peters, but it's something to keep an eye on. Clarke's been unfortunate with his loans, so it's a tricky one. He's getting included in squads, but his position's absolutely packed. I thought Vinicius would start this one, but I think Mourinho wants to make sure that we get through and won't risk another Antwerp. The plan is probably to bring him on if we can get a healthy lead, but we don't do that sort of thing, do we?
I’m just not a massive fan of keeping young players around the first team and not giving them chances. I don’t really see the benefits. The thing with wanting to avoid another Antwerp is that I don’t think he’s picked the right sort of team to do so. The left flank looks particularly poor as Davies won’t provide width like Reguilon whilst Lucas on the left isn't the best choice whereas the two CMs can’t play a creative pass to save their lives. It means an unfit Lo Celso is who we’re relying on to get the ball to Kane, Bale and Lucas, so it feels pretty risky to me.
It depends on what the alternative is. We've sent a number of players out on loan recently who haven't got games. If the choice is to train with our first team and play in the U23s or sit in the reserves in League 1, then there's no point in a loan. We need to sort out that whole situation soon and make better choices.
