There are other ways it could be changed. For example, drop Kule and put Sarr in MF. Play Son centrally with Kane behind him. Just one suggestion to provide more support to the MF.

True, but putting Sarr in at Anfield after he looked shell shocked last weekend probably not ideal, and having had a midweek game this week too, opportunities to work on a new formation would have been scarce. So whilst I would also like to see the formation change I can understand why he wouldn't change it today.

Would rather see Lenglet (I never understand the negativity he gets) keep his place and Davies come in for Perisic.

The fact Dier keeps his place is the one that staggers me more than any formation tinkering.

Wonder how many he’ll cost us today.

    To Dare is to Do!

Realistically, we have no chance of Top 4. We have nothing to play for so a little daring in order to bolster the midfield might have made sense. This suggestion isn’t going to weaken the defence like it did against Newcastle.

Regardless, we are due a win today!

While playing a variant on 433 makes sense for a trip to Klanfield, we don't really have the personnel to play 4ATB right now as Porro is questionable as a RB, we lack the dedicated DM to hold everything together, and there's no variety to our available CMs

Just a change in attitude is an improvement on Conte ball.
If we play on the front foot like we did second half on Thursday, then that might produce a different result.

TBH the extra man in midfield is likely going to be needed, what with their one-man advantage before a ball is kicked - but 352 is an iffy proposition too, given our available CMs are broadly similar, while 3412 with Deki in the hole is too similar to the 3421 we've used for the past year so some players might revert to muscle memory and make the change moot

I agree we don’t really have the right players to tweak too much. But I really do believe putting an extra body in midfield would help against Liverpool.

1-0 Liverpool. Jones. Foul not given in the buildup, but awful defending.

Porro with another defensive mistake and Forster should probably stop that, too.
