    yeah…

normally a defeat and left in one of three emotions/states (sometimes all)

…rolled up in a ball crying on the floor

    …very angry and punching walls

    …complete disdain and emptiness

    And very very occasionally…

    You get Ajax 2019

…pure happiness, joy and screams of delight

    …ultimate wumming of rivals

…a trip to the cock clinic.

    (Sometimes all)

you pays your money and you takes your choice

It appears from what the coach said after the CL game that the slow first half is not a strategy at all, in which case it must be down to the players. Are they saving themselves for the world cup?

Think @Citizen Kane. raised this a few weeks back...about it being a subconscious thing in the minds of the players

Has that been apparent in other teams? Not with Arsenal it appears or Newcastle or United when they played us or Chelsea against us.

That doesn't really make sense, though, given Hojbjerg is a shoo-in for the Denmark squad yet is all action from the off, while Mali didn't even qualify but Bissouma seems to have a quarter of the energy when he starts compared to when he's subbed on

More than anything else, there's definitely periods in games where you can see we're set up to either soak up pressure or let the opponents tip their hand and reveal their main attacking combinations so we can adjust - the issue being that if the opponents press us we can't transition into the next phase of play where we set the trap or hit them with a suckerpunch, and that's been especially clear in the last few weeks

All indivuduals do not react in the same way so your argument is not conclusive. It also suggests Conte is a little naive, and I don't believe that.

Emerson definitely got some dirty info on Conte.

Not a chance he’s being willingly selected.

If you want or need any proof though that Conte’s setting us up to defend then that lineup shows it. Defensive and woeful RWB, three in midfield, a poor LWB and a former winger-turned-WB up front.

I predicted/ wanted a 352 but we should’ve had attacking WBs and someone like Gil up top with Kane, this is a frail Pool side and we’re basically saying “come and attack us”.

I just hope he injects some potency in attack early enough in the second half. It’s going to be another painful first 45 mins.

I fully expect the fans to be signing for Deki within about the first 15 minutes <laugh>

What are you writing for the Daily Mail <laugh>

Perisic can play as a Centre Forward. Conte is always going to look at defence first, that is the Italian way.
