Liverpool are taking the piss out of us now. Our left wing is open season. Get that fat **** DOF off!
we should be 2 or 3 down tbh...apart from one free kick I can not remember an attempt on or off target from us. And they look way better than us. on the up side ... we ain't 3 down...yet
The only player in our attack with any pace is Moura. That’s why. We’re persisting with Kane, and once again, he’s having to drop deep, offering us nothing. But at the same time, the speed of our attacks are so slow, he’s not getting any genuine support. Liverpool’s defence have had nothing to do. We need to experiment with something totally new.
Half time ratings: Vorm - did ok until the goal where he was off balance Trippier - decent play down the right. Some good crosses Alderweireld - our best player sadly Vertonghen - decent work but not commanding enough Rose - useless, slow and piss poor passing Dembéle - out of position. Too deep. Ineffective back there. Dier - progressively gets worse every year Winks - lacks form Eriksen - pussy won’t put his body on the line as usual in big games Kane - anonymous Lucas Moura - outmuscled
Having a strike partner means Kane has to drop deep. Saw it with England and now with Moura. He's better up top on his own as deeper midfielders make more space for him and he can bully who is left with him.
We've been playing ourselves again, creating all their best chances for them. Not good. Need to get Moura out wider, he's got the beating of their full backs. Take off one of the midfielders too and give them more defined roles, part of the problem is that they're always switching around when Dier and Dembele need to be deepest as they're most useful to us there, no point having Dier up in the final third at times trying to open things up, that's not what he's good at.
I can lead a horse to water but if the dumbass choses not to drink it'll die...a long, slow painful death
No I disagree with the negativity. Liverpool had a fast start but Spurs came into the game and started to control it, the goal was against the run of play as it often is with Liverpool being red hot on the break. I am confident about the second half.
