When the team plays so flat...it's hard for the fans to feel up for it...the loudest the crowd were when Moura hit the post and the 60 seconds of play that followed...I don't blame the fans.

The team look very flat and are very irritating on the eye

Anyone spot the foul on Son at the end? It was actually a pen. We may not have deserved it, but football match points aren't allocated by being deserving.

Team looks so lethargic as a whole.
A lot is now riding on Moura/Lamela/Wanyama/Winks
to all be back to speed while this is occurring

Will stick with my 30minbele statement (he needs to
be managed well fitness wise) .

    Vorm must not play again.

Lloris has no good back up
Kane has no good back up
Eriksen doesn’t have a back up at all.

Remind me why we didn’t sign anyone again?

We’ve got some serious issues to address. It’s not just Liverpool we’ve been **** against. It’s an exact repeat of last week against Watford, and the games against Newcastle and Fulham were far from inspiring, despite the results.

As others have said, beating Liverpool is always gonna be tough, as there a decent side. But the reality is, we’re **** at the moment.

We can’t change the fact we didn’t strengthen the side in the summer, but we’ve got to have a long hard look at these performances and Poch needs to make some bold changes.

Stopping persisting with Kane, would be a start IMO. Teams are presuming he’ll start for us, and they are just replicating one another in how to defend against him. Play Son in that position, and support him with some more pace and creativity. I once said I never wanna see Son up top by himself, but it can’t get any worse than this. And to be fair, we played well when Kane got injured last season. We are nothing short of dreadful in attack at the moment.

The CM position is looking very precarious for us too. So many issues I don’t know where to start.

And Gazzaniga needs to start now, whilst Lloris is out. What’s the point in him being at the club, when Vorm keeps making mistakes?

I know it’s early days, but we look lost at the moment, and not the sort of team who will be challenging for a CL spot at the end of the season.

Very disappointing second half we look knackered. Now we have to be patient and keep the faith, all our England & Belguim players look jaded and the contrast is Lucas who looks super sharp in comparison. All seasons have a low point and ours has come early. Still disappointing though two losses on the trot. :emoticon-0145-shake

Lamela and Moura were the only ones that played with any belief and fight after we conceded, the rest just felt sorry for themselves and waited for someone else to sort things out. It's a good job they put names on the back of the shirts because most of them were unrecognisable out there today.

That said, surely that's a pen at the end? The Liverpool player took Son's standing leg without getting the ball. 5 minutes stoppages was far too low as well. Dier and Firminho both had stoppages that nearly added up to that before you even add in subs and the time Oliver thought the best course of action to stop TAA timewasting was to have a long chat with him and Milner. It would have been unjust for us to get anything out of the game but it's still **** refereeing.

Spurs lost to a good team, but the manner of the loss is shameful.

Well done Lamela for scoring. Sonny should have got a penalty but the ref was never going to allow a penalty to Spurs in the final minute.

No-one played with any distinction today, mistakes all around. Liverpool simply ruled the roost today.

I thought the fans were quiet today, until Lamela scored.

    I'm off to walk Barney.

Yep, unlucky not to get a penalty, but on the other hand, lucky not to concede 6. Swings and roundabouts.

Two poky Liverpool goals and it's goodbye to the PL championship again! We gave City 6 points last season and may do the same for Liverpool this season. Yes ,I know it's early.....but can you see us doing much this season now?
The cup games will have our reserves except for the CL games.....

Harry finally broke his August hoodoo.....now can't score in September!
I can't see us winning the PL in my lifetime and not in many of yours. Why? What is it with us?Why do we continue to fall on our faces when it matters?

As Spurf says, we look knackered; and that’s worrying - very worrying.

Kane, especially, looks like he needs a good rest to regain his form and sharpness. But Poch won’t drop him as we don’t have a replacement.

The big difference was obvious. Pool invested heavily over the summer and strengthened significantly from last season. We didn’t!

I can live with losing but when there’s zero ****ing effort I get so wound up.

Eriksen can **** off for a while, going back into that ghost form we saw a couple seasons back. Rose obviously doesn’t wanna be first choice LB. Gazza needs to start instead of Vorm, Vorm’s done, been a great pro but he’s declined to a level where he shouldn’t be in the Prem any more.

Why on earth Poch went with three CMs and one CAM leaving just one natural wide player in the side I’ll never know. This tinkering with tactics needs to stop because we’re not getting into a rhythm. Yeah the players have been **** but Poch has also been toilet so far this season.

Its a funny old game, beat Manure and Poch is god, lose to Watford and Liverpool, two teams with a 100% record and Poch is sh!te, who would want to be a football manager, Hero to Zero in three hours. Dont worry peeps, if things dont change they'll stay as the are.

I'm just glad that this wasn't our first game at the new lane.

we are all disappointed by the manner of the defeat but at the risk of pissing some off on here the reaction is a little ott.

No Dele and no Lloris made a big difference.

I do not get the comments about winks at all...he showed for the ball all the times when others didn't and battled the whole time he was on.

TBH we have gone backwards, but there are 33 games to go

Wanyama can now start pressuring Dier, and Lamela is impressing most games he plays.

every team bar City and pool will seriously wobble at some point...Pochettino and the team need to keep their heads and so do us fans

Too many played badly. You cannot blame MP for that. Their goals and their missed chances were all presented to them on a plate. Liverpool were poor for not scoring at least 3 more goals. It is unlikely that we will have so many players simultaneously playing that badly again, and it is unlikely Liverpool will meet another team as generous as we were today. I am not going to write us off as some seem to be, but lots of players need to shape up. I am not going to blame the lack of signings either. If Pochettino was not able buy the people he wanted it was better it to not waste money, again. I still think we will finish in the top four and win a trophy
