My stand out moment from yesterday... In the 6th or 7th minute Liverpool were attacking down Trippier's side just on the touchline level with our penalty area. Trippier forced him inside then back into his own half and into hoofing the ball away just thorough shear desperation. That set a tone and freaked them out in my opinion. The next was Son leaving Milner for dead for the second goal.
There were a few to be fair - but Harry chasing back 80+ metres and causing the pool player to scuff his shot was brilliant - particularly when Trips applauded him for doing it!!
I am enjoying watching Aurier on the ball...he's a little pit bull I love his energy...reminds me of what Lamela brings to the table. When Poch taps into his defensive abilities, watch him go. I'm confident he will iron out his badboy traits because he seems happy...I loved watching him and Kane celebrate the first goal. When someone scores I always look at the other players to see how they react, to gauge the bond. When Kane got his second, Verts hands in head for not scoring whilst the rest are running off to join Kane made me chuckle. Was a great day yesterday.
Me too - you could read his mind! And then a few of the team ran over to him to rub it in - Priceless!!
Can i just point out that i'm organising a whip round to buy RCL a season ticket . that should **** you up good n proper
Fatal flaw in the plan incoming ... You didn't specify WHICH CLUB that season ticket is for. We need a poll to choose a club other than Spurs (press 1 for Citeh, 2 for the Goons ... ) .
Not sure if anyone already mentioned it but we set a new PL record attendance with 80,827 - smashing United's 10-year old record of 76,098 set against Blackburn of all people (must've been a special offer on National Express London to Manchester that day). Jamie Redknapp was wondering aloud how little old Spurs could possibly have so many fans. Can't wait for the Madrid game - I've got tickets with my brother (albeit in the heavens) and it'll be rocking. As a side note, this latest record means that we've also set a new record for new records set in a calendar year.
Will Pochettino or Kane be collecting the "new records of the month" trophy for this month (which of course is still September ) ??
Poor old Jamie, he's bang out of luck at the moment isn't he? As the great Norman Stanley Fletcher once said...... "If Elizabeth Taylor had triplets, he'd be the one on the bottle."
Of course our Jamie was. He swore that he had sold at least 15,000 Spurs supporters to either the Mancs or get real Madrid.
To be fair , we had a fair share of football tourists there. You could tell , they were the ones at the end taking selfies and the like. I recognized them from OT.
Aurier has to lose his trademark tackle of sliding in. When I saw it on his scouting clip before we bought him , I was worried as he won't get away with it in the Prem. It's cost him once and it will again. He was lucky not to be booked for it yesterday.
They would certainly say that we had the advantage of playing at Wembley in one of the matches, hoodoo well forgotten. In the other, choose any or all of the following: Spurs were lucky, Citeh had injuries to key players, the ref had a poor game, the players let Pep down, Citeh have played to many games, Spurs had easier champions league fixtures, without Kane Spurs would have lost, the linesman made mistakes, the wind was stronger in the second half, Citeh had a tougher mid week fixture...etc. etc.
Everyone's talking about Liverpool's defence being **** and it is, so they're right to, but whose fault is it? Are their defenders all rubbish? If so, then why didn't they replace them in the summer, choosing to spend £40m on Oxo-Cube, instead? Are they rubbish, though? Lovren was hailed for some superb performances under Pochettino. Why's he crap now? Klopp has to accept responsibility, as it's down to him either way. He needs to do something about it, either in the market or on the training ground.
One of them, a short fat bloke, came all the way from Argentina. He had the cheek to get a spurs shirt with the number 10 on it and have his own name printed on the back rather than Kane's. In fact it was Spurlock's previous handle printed backwards.
