Just for the sake of fairness and peace amongst all humanity, what would you say was your most exciting game this season? Try not to pick an example from the beginning of the season because we both know no-one was taking you seriously as favourites to get relegated, so they all played open and reckless football against you and you punished them for it. An example from the middle third of the season would be lovely. I'll find the time to sit down and watch it.

Man City 1-3 Leicester was quite breathless.

2-3 against Everton was end to end.

    2-1 against Chelsea.

    0-3 again at Swansea.

    3-0 against at Stoke.

All worth a watch. But I'd have to go with 1-0 against a certain North London Club. Loads of fun that was.

This appears to be the answer to a different question, unfortunately.
What were Leicester's best results this season, perhaps?

    Piss off <laugh>

The City game clearly came to mind first so I'll watch that one. There's also the factor that City never sit back defensively so there is really no excuse not to 'up n at em' all game.

Jordan Henderson to miss the remainder of the season due to injury.

Roy Hodgson says this makes it a difficult choice to choose between him and Dier for the Euros.

Dier would go regardless I think but I think that Henderson not going frees up a space for Drinkwater (who should also go regardless).

Our best performances churned out our best results.

    Fancy that.

Shame that CK asked what your most exciting games were then, isn't it?

Your 5-2 loss to Arsenal was exciting and I don't see that mentioned.
Your games with West Brom were also interesting for the neutral, somewhat bizarrely.
The faintly ludicrous opening game against Sunderland, too.

Our best performances have verged on the boring. We dominated most of them.
I dare say that more people enjoyed our draw with Liverpool than our easy wins against Norwich and Bournemouth, for example.
You've basically picked games which you enjoyed as a Leicester supporter, rather than those which football fans would like.

Absolutely. Our game against Arsenal was our most exciting game of the season, Sunderland is up there too. But I didn't mention them because we're talking about the middle third of the season. The same reason I didn't mention the West Brom game.

Try reading the posts before you come rushing in <ok>

I did read them. Your examples may have been from the right part of the season, but they failed the other criteria.
Your game against Stoke was utterly dull, for example. Mark Hughes even said that they were never in it.
They were distracted by their League Cup semi-final and it showed.

The only exciting thing about the Swansea win was the frankly ludicrous refereeing display.
The opener was a handball, the second was offside and the Welsh side were utterly aimless, as they have been for most of the season.
I don't think that they troubled Schmeichel once, but they had most of the ball. Boring game.

Speaking of Swansea, they really have been pony haven't they? Ayew started brightly and Gylfi has just about carried them to safety but I was expecting them to push on a bit this year. Usually a good team to watch, too. Still say they should've stuck by Monk as well, Guidolin hasn't really done much to impress, ironically some of Swansea's good recent results came when Alan Curtis took control while Guidolin was in hospital.

They had an off-field issue which completely undermined the manager at the start of the season.

You know we're not talking about the games themselves being exciting??

We're talking about Leicester City being exciting.

But you read the posts so you obviously knew that <ok>

    And they weren't exciting.
Sitting back against sides doing nothing and occasionally hitting them on the break or from set-pieces.
    That's not exciting.

Italian football lost the interest of a lot of viewers for a number of reasons, but this kind of football was one of them.
It can be ok if one side's trying to force the issue, but it's terminally dull if both sides use similar tactics.

But you think we sit and defend all game, have a couple of chances and score a couple of goals.

When that's categorically not true and anyone that has seen a good amount of us and isn't bitter about our success will realise that.

I've consistently stated that you play counter-attacking football.
Most of your games see you playing a compact formation, sitting back, conceding possession and hitting on the break.
That's simply a factual description of how you play. I've no idea why it upsets you.

You make the 2nd least short passes, have the ball less frequently than virtually anyone and have some of the worst pass accuracy in the division.
You're quick and direct when you attack, which increases the chances of something happening or you losing the ball.
You don't give the other side time to get back into position.

Why is any of this even vaguely controversial?

    That is quite factual though.

As PNP just said, you're a counter attacking side that uses it's best assets in Mahrez and Vardy to break at pace and finish the chances you create. Now that teams are becoming more aware of how good these can be when given space, they aren't attacking as much and are being more cautious at the back, hence why you're now struggling to score more than the odd goal in recent weeks. It's why I've been saying you're efficient and clinical yet not entertaining.

There's no bitterness on this board from PNP or any of us, you'll find we've sang your praises for what you've achieved as it's been incredible, it truly has, though you seem to get aggy at the fact we don't see you as an attacking and entertaining side, you've entertained in the fact it's been a breath of fresh air to give the usual top four guys the middle finger but I do genuinely feel your style has been a carbon copy of Chelsea's from last season, which was effective but not one the neutrals can really enjoy. Mahrez and Vardy have been extremely exciting to watch but the rest have just been part of a defensive system that's allowed your two stars to flourish.
Have a look at Chelsea this season, Hazard has been awful and Costa hasn't bagged half the goals of his previous campaign, both of those are to Chelsea what Mahrez and Vardy are to you, Chelsea were looking terrible earlier in the campaign as their counter attacking style wasn't working as teams were ironically counter attacking them and getting surprise victories, they were getting booed off the pitch and the Special Prick finally got the sack.

You're making it out that we put 11 men behind the ball like we're setting out to say "we'll take a point but have a go on the break to see if we can steal a win".
I'm just here to tell you how utterly wrong you are, there is no way that we'd be top of the league if we set out to defend every game.

Since when was a direct style unexciting? We set out to attack everyone and have this seriously quick way of playing akin to a tornado ripping through a town.

If you don't find that exciting then fair enough. I can't think of anything worse than watching my centre halves pass it to each other for 90 minutes, which is how you were playing when you gifted us three points in January.
