Should we finish ahead of Arsenal, I'm planning for the first annual Obliterating PISKIE's Rep Day. If Arsenal fail to qualify for the Champions League, that'll be the second. The days may need to be switched around.
Lawro's Prediction for Liverpool v Tottenham Hotspur (Sunday, 16:00 GMT) Liverpool have clicked lately, helped by the return of midfielder Lucas. The Brazilian came back into the team following a long injury lay-off in December's match against Southampton and has rarely missed an important fixture since. He's allowed key midfielder Steven Gerrard to play his own game, while winger Stewart Downing is contributing more and new signing Philippe Coutinho is performing well too. They're starting to get goals from different areas instead of just from Luis Suarez, although the Uruguayan did score three of their four in the win over Wigan last week. The Reds haven't got the greatest of records against Tottenham - in fact, their last win over them was in January 2010. But Spurs are due a bad result and I feel they will lose at Anfield on Sunday. Brendan Rodgers's side will have to try to diminish the threat of with Gareth Bale, who has scored 11 goals in his last nine games for club and country. The way round that problem is simply by sticking close to him. Lawro's prediction: Liverpool 2-1 Tottenham Hotspur Spurs are on a run of 12 undefeated Premier League games and Lawro has us down for yet another defeat? He now has us in 8th place level on points with bloody Newcastle! The man has lost it. Mark Lawrenson's Premier League Predictions 2012-13
He's got to be on the wum. That entire paragraph is about 'Pool, he barely mentions us at all. "Their due a bad result" World Class punditry their Lawro, basing this on anything? Just look at where Swansea are in his table!
Even with that FA Cup defeat to Leeds, our recent form has been very impressive... please log in to view this image ...11 wins and 5 draws in our last 17 matches, scoring 30 goals and conceding just 12 while keeping 7 clean sheets.
haha, I can't believe i'm seeing QPR where they are! classic Lawro, classic! - If Harry was in charge since the start, then maybe much higher up the league. But challenging for Europe with Hughes in charge?!
TBF to Lawro, that isn't that bad a prediction. The reasoning of "due a bad result" is 1st class nobbery but we could easily get turned over IMO.
So Bale has now scored 10 goals in his last 8 games and 14 goals in his last 14 matches.... please log in to view this image Yellow = 1 goal Green = 2 goals Blue = 3 goals ...not to shabby, is it? please log in to view this image

Hey it beats his prediction of 2-1 to Arsenal last week based solely on wanting "to put the cat amongst the pigeons"
Sigurdssons assists are very impressive when you consider how little game time he's had compared to others.
Apparently Lawrenson's predicted that we'd get 4 points from the last 6 games and we've actually picked up 14. He's bound to get one right eventually though, I guess.
He hates AVB. I do think he was right to predict a Liverpool win though, their at home and in great form at Anfield. Cannot see why he predicted Arsenal to win last week though, when was the last time Arsenal won at WHL? They've been woeful in 2013 to date.
Nothing ever suggested Arsenal were going to win that game. Spurs previously have never enjoyed the favourites tag and the only question was whether they'd hold their nerve. Spurs were always going to score more than once against Arsenal. I'm sure he predicted us to beat Arsenal 2-1 despite having won only 1 home game under Benitez up to that point. He really is an awful pundit.
The main problem I have with his predictions is that he tows the line and goes with the flow praising Spurs and AVB yet clearly he doesn't believe it. He's so desperate the only reasoning he can find now is that we're "due a bad result". The bit about stopping Bale by staying close to him made me laugh though. The whole reason Bale has become so dangerous is that he always finds space and if you start getting close to him he'll go past you with ease but stand off him and he'll punish you too. The only way to stop him is to double up on him, one person to close and another to mop up incase he knocks it past the first player but even that doesn't work as well when he's not on the wing. Lennon's similar. He became easy to stop when fullbacks worked out that if they stood off him and covered their flank, showing him inside, he wouldn't be as effective. Now more and more Lennon is calling their bluff and causing problems by cutting inside or playing on the opposite flank. Really hope he recovers in time for Sunday.
Siggy Lennon, Parker and Dembele all seem to have found their form. It would leave Liverpool pretty short handed if they double or three up on Bale. If he doesn't score I imagine he'll be dragging them all over the park for the whole game. Also with him in the middle now, they can't stop him like they have in the past, (Adam putting him out for weeks or Skirtl booting him into the stands.) I think we have too much for them. Time to snuff out another false dawn. A nervy 2-1.
I do like this Spurs team, there seem to be goals coming from all over the pitch. That has often been our downfall in recent years.
