Spurs probably deserved something from the game but you made it hard for yourselves by gifting us two goals. Think you'll finish comfortably 3rd going by that performance, not many teams have come to Anfield this season and looked the better team.
Credit to Liverpool for taking their chances well. I don't know why we were lumping it forward so much. I realize he has and will come in for plenty of criticism, but I still can't believe that attempted back pass from Walker. It bugs me more than the other mistakes I guess it's because it seems like more of a simple, basic and elemental mental error. You just can't try to back pass it half the field when there's an attacker or two between you and the keeper. Keep it simple and just don't backpass half the field ever. Oh well. Lots of players worked hard. If you win as many close games as we have, you have to expect the luck will go to the other team eventually.
Personally I'd rather Chelsea won this game. For both Spurs and Arsenal it would suit us better if they had more games and the potential distraction of the FA cup.
Because at 1-2 did you think they were likely to be the next team to score? I think we were on top at that time and only the stupid backpass changed the game, the opposition didn't. (Even then Downing got a lucky bounce back off the keeper AND he nearly hit Dawson on the line.)
We was due a loss as we have won matches without playing well so we take todays defeat on the chin and move on. Also like you mention, we was lucky to defeat the mousers at the lane and today the luck went their way, no complaints. This is now a test for the team, as we face inter without Bale and then we have to fight for 3rd and see how the team responds to a defeat.
I was split before the game, but a comeback like this might push them on. A draw now and a loss in the replay might be ideal, though. Mata's just twisted his ankle. Looks painful. He'd be a massive loss for them, but it's never nice to see a player get hurt.
Because you've created this account with the sole intention of winding up Spurs and Liverpool fans, as anyone that checks your profile and post history can tell.
Cheers. However to be fair you was the better team at the lane but lost so its evened out. I think next yeat you will challenege for top four
They were diving in the box throughout the entire game. It was always going to be a matter of time before they convince the ref. Come on Piskie, you of all people should know what I'm talking about. Obviously they've practice the art of diving duing the week and it paid off for them. So I guess a form of congratulation(s) is in order to the Scallies.
Spurs can't really complain about players diving to win penalties though. Bale is one of the worst for it. Suarez has got a reputation too, but the foul on him by BAE today was a pen.
I created it to provide unbiased opinions on all games that i watch. I will be back next weekend with some more cracking banter!
