Villas-Boas has his work cut out for him at half-time. We look all over the place at the back and we're not imposing ourselves enough in the middle of the park, either.
Defoe's barely touched the ball, yet every time we get either of our wingers on the ball it looks like we're going to score.

Can we have Kaboul, Assou-Ekotto or Caulker back, please?

 

Good first half, fortunate to go into half time with a cleansheet but we've got a 2 goal lead and that's the important thing. Defensively Dawson and Gallas are looking a bit flat footed against the pace but everyone's working hard, exemplified by Walker in particular. Attacking wise we need to make better decisions, I hope AVB sticks a rocket up 'em because there's far too many long range efforts when passes are on. Dembele and Dempsey have been excellent on the ball staying calm and keepin possession then looking up and picking a pass.

Liverpool are frustrating themselves to an extent and if we keep the ball well and pick them off on the counter we should be fine. They'll improve in the second half though and we need to be ready for that.

 

I know you should never bet against your team but Liverpool to win is 25-1. I'm sorely tempted to stick a few quid on to manage the pain if we do mess this up!

 

Nail on head. Expect a poor second half with us acting like a frigid virgin with our inaccurate probing whilst you sit back with a comfy 2 goals and hit us on the counter

It's a very open game but AVB needs to remind the players to maintain concentration, they are looking a bit like they thinks it's over. I think we will have another go in the first minutes of the second half.

At least Liverpool have come to play football this time with Rogers influence clear. All that is except Skirtel.

In my view that challenge on Dempsey was far worse than the Ade sending off.
