So, if JD and Azza are out the team will be Brad Walker Kaboul King/Dawson Benny Sandro Parker VDV/Krancjar Modric Bale Ade/Saha Not too shabby. Gio to come on if a bit a of pace is needed after an hour?
Is Saha actually fit at the moment? Thought he was injured as I don't recall him featuring for Everton in the last few games.
He was on the bench against Fulham (FA Cup) and started their previous two games, Moopheus. Didn't feature against against Tamworth in the third round either, so he's not cup-tied.
Ah ok - I keep getting injury issues mixed up between him and Nelson, who (when I looked on his wiki before we signed him) was reported to have had chronic knee trouble since April and had flown back to NZ to try and sort it.
Yeah, Nelsen's played one game this season in a pretty poor Blackburn side. They do have quite a lot of options in his position, if I remember right, but it's not a positive sign, is it?
That was basically my gripe about signing him in the first place - fair enough about letting Bassong out on loan but if we've got options then we might as well save the money on Nelson's wages and not fill Bassong's space.
It's NelsEn, and AFAIK, he's fit. apparently Spurs checked him out in a reserve/training match before signing him. Of course he probably isn't 'match fit', but he's not likely to start at Anfield, so there's time for that.
That's why we signed Yaho Falque...then loaned him to Southampton Luckily we have Andros Townsend...until we loaned him to Leeds If we're desperate, we could call on John Bostock...if we didn't loan him to Sheffield Wednesday There's also Ryan Mason...who's at Millwall Good news if your surname is Kranjcar or Dos Santos, then...
It is, MNS. http://www.not606.com/showthread.php/121364-Liverpool-v-Tottenham-Hotspur-Match-History-1894-2012
Oh yeah, I thought it was a cross board thread. That one must have been on the 2nd page? Thought it was rather friendly and quiet for a Spurs-Liverpool cross thread.
Liverpool will go into the fixture fired up after suffering the an utter humiliation in London. I refer, of course, to Desperate Scousewives being axed by E4 after a solitary season...
Beeb reporting that both Ade and Defoe are injury doubts, and that Saha may make his debut. Personally, as long as Jamie Carragher plays, I won't be too worried...at least we'll have a reliable source of goals!
There are a few things that suggest that we can get a god result... Despite our poor home form we are still undefeated at Anfield this season. We are on good form at the moment. We usually play better against the top teams. Suarez is back fit and ready after some time out. It's been a while since we last beat you..all records come to an end. Having said that..I can still see you doing the usual business and doing one over us. After all you were the last team to beat us at Anfield. Liverpool 1 - 3 Spurs.
If they make the decision to drop Bellamy in order to accommodate a returning Suarez, they'll be handing a lot of the initiative to us. Bellamy's been potent in recent weeks, so if they drop him just so King Kenut can feel some kind of misplaced vindication, that's underlines why they're swapping the Europa places with Arsenal and Newcastle for the remainder of the season more than anything else.
If he was dropped, it would be to do with his knee. Doesn't really play 2 games in a row so he might be on the bench. We have had a 6 day break between our last game though (The win at Wolves on Tuesday) so all Liverpool fans are hoping that his knee will let him start on Monday!
