Michael Oliver and Darren England at Anfield, too. Utterly corrupt. Tierney has reffed 13 of our Premier League matches. We've failed to win the last 12.
It's that more subtle bias that can't be proved. Which ref is most likely to give decisions in favour of Pool? Which game is likely to be the hardest of those that Pool have left? That sort of thing. Kind of on the lines of when we're chasing Leicester for the title, they play before us all the time and we play on Monday evening all the time. The kind of subtle bias that means one of our midfielders will get an early yellow, reducing his effectiveness for the rest of the game. The kind of subtle bias where the lino will raise their flag on suspicion of offside rather than let VAR decide later which apparently is the thing to do now. And that offside one could be rather important if it's Son racing through against their high defensive line.
Extended highlights and pitchside footage: Including a Leicester fan calling Son a "****ing ****" before the opening goal! I've still not seen any of the stuff that looked controversial to me at the game, unfortunately. That Moura run, the Schmeichel/Kane/Defender challenge that left everyone in a heap, etc. Be nice to have some idea of what the calls were like.
He actually agrees in this interview: At about the 3.50 mark. Practiced so many shots from there when he was a kid.
