Mousers are now going full Mouser on Poool 606
about how they are so much better than Spurs.

So I now endorse a Madrid win for reasons other
than that will get us in CL pot 2 for the group draws. :)

    WHAT A GAME <yikes>

negatives ... defending was terrible but...no Sanchez, no Vertongen, no Trippier and no Davies.
Dier ALWAYS gives a serious goal scoring chance away!

Positives...KWP and the team refusing to curl up and not care. They fought non stop and even though they were not great in terms of class their tenacity and commitment was top class.

3rd is a brilliant outcome imho...38 away matches and we come above Chelsea by 7 points , Liverpool by 2 points and Arsenal by 14 points...a trophy would have been good but it weren't to be.

If I was offered this back in August and was told that Rose would be a fat bastard all season, Toby would miss most of it, that Arsenal would be 5 points closer of us in and Chelsea 7 points clear of us as we were in 7th place in December I would never have believed it possible

****ing typical that today it was a 9 goal thriller. And unless you had a ticket for the game, it was basically impossible to watch it. Yet for the last few weeks we’ve had to sit through utter dross. <laugh> <doh>

Really? Well that's a great incentive for next season isn't it, because 9 out of 10 sounds just that bit better. Meanwhile it's worth any Spurs fan just mentioning this fact anytime they ring in to TalkShite.

  5. Mousers cannot enjoy finishing top 4 because we finished above them, yet again!

A fact that I will never tire from mentioning on the Prem board, of course.

There comes a point when it is merely cliche
and there is no value in talking about it.

Two very interesting tweets about Poch’s post match interview. He clearly thinks it’s time he was backed by Levy to really take us forward. Could be a very interesting summer!

  8. If Poch leaves in the Summer, the fans will give Levy some real stick.

Back him, or sack him , Mr Levy.

But if you take the cheap route, expect some stick.

I've created a thread on this subject. It's such a hugely important issue that I think there will be plenty of opinion on this. Massive period coming up for us, for sure.

Back from the game. It's hard to know what to make of that. It had more of a feel of a testimonial than a league match.

Generally, I thought we played nearly as badly in the first half as against Newcastle and Watford, except Leicester are better going forward than those 2 teams and much worse at defending. Our defending was atrocious throughout. Sure, it was a scratch defence, with a high line, against a team that love to play against such a set up but individually there wasn't anything very much for the senior members of the team to be pleased about. KWP was regularly given the ball in areas where he was hemmed in and couldn't pass to a white shirt and was getting very little help. Our central midfield looked pedestrian and we got pulled all over the place.

When the third went in the stadium was silent. Leicester spent a week celebrating the goal and there was a lot of looking at each other from the players. It could have gone the full Newcastle 5 v 1 Spurs. I'm sure that if Leicester had got on with it faster, then they'd have gone on to win. However, that time waiting to kick off again allowed our boys to find something collectively, and it did spark a reaction from the players and from that point, they commenced the long fight back.

Even when we got in front, the old naivety showed again and we gave away a 4th goal and nearly a 5th. Still, it didn't really matter and the outcome was a good one. On the way home, I got off a train at Marylebone and there were a few Spammers heading in the opposite direction. We gave them a cheer and consoled them that they could be in Europe next year..............if they write a really good song.............or Putin causes a war.

  16. Few immediate thoughts from those highlights.....
Wanyama needs to show from Day 1 next season that he’s back on it otherwise it’s curtains for him
KWP has a future and need some serious game time
Lamela’s first was a yard offside
Lucas will be a star for us. Some of his play is brilliant - a good pre-season and he will be flying.
Itchy Nachos won’t score another like that in his career. (Although Wanyamas half-hearted challenge helped him)
Mahrez is a top player with a **** attitude. Wherever he is next season, it won’t be In the East Midlands....

And from Brian’s earlier comments, the Lesta celebrations after the 3rd were ridiculous and if it changed the course of the game then more fool them. What was the ref doing at this time?

    Be generous.
Them scoring 3 against us, period, is nosebleed territory.

OTOH us scoring at least 5 against them in PL games in May
is in danger of becoming cliche (PL fixture planners could be
receiving some serious "bung" money from the east Midlands
    this summer) .

At least you have a goalfest when your team's in end of season mode - rather 90 minutes of passing the ball around aimlessly at walking pace

Recovering alcoholics often seem to go wacky, or in the case of Tony Adams, completely crackers. Personally, I thought it was great to see him looking reasonably fit and the reception he got brought tears to my eyes.
