Agree. Lee Mason blew his whistle for everything tonight. It's not like he was totally in our favour though. Some really bizarre decisions. But it was still never a penalty
He didn't blow for everything, though. That was a massive part of the problem. He'd pull up Lamela for getting tight to his man on a header, then ignore a blatant push on the same player a minute later. There was no consistency on the physical part of the game at all. He missed an absolute ton of stuff off the ball, too. Had no idea what was going on.
To be fair mate, I've never been one of the group to even begin to suggest we can mount a title challenge. Its good to dream but we need to be realistic. Right now, we're building a squad that will challenge in the future but this is not the season when that happens. But I have every faith in Poch that he knows what we need. Its just a case of whether Levy and Mitchell can do their jobs now.
Perhaps it may be the sign of a solid " together team " with no prima Donnas and also known as defending from the front especially against such strong opposition playing at home !
Any reference I may have made to a title challenge was done purely to wind-up the Gooners and the Mousers.
Spursy to mess this game up. With Arsenal and City both dropping points, a win would've been huge. It's just standard Tottenham that we screw up the opportunities given to us on a silver platter. We need a striker and a DM desperately now. We've gotten through the half the season with what we've got and that's great - we won't make it to the end in the same position without reinforcements. I do wonder though - if Berahino is the answer, what is the question?
Very disappointing but it could so easily have been the opposite result bar the crossbar, but fair play to Schmeichel who is just as annoying as his father was. If he's played like that all season he is a big part of Leicesters success
Well, strictly speaking he's not in Birmingham, he's in the Midlands and he's definitely not the biggest twat in that area...
If we're being pedantic then he's currently in London. But he's definitely not the biggest twat in that area either.
Nah, he's probably gone already. Had another row after that pillock McClean blocked one of his shots. I assume that's the twat you're talking about?
Spurs are up next....where is that ****ing remote! We could do with Arsenal's luck. That Defoe looks good.
Seems like everyone gets deflections, offsides not given and belters from outside the box. We get ****s for refs.
Calmed down a bit on the way home. These results can happen, the frustration is that it's on top of a load of other frustrating results. It's a bit positive and negative, I guess. I don't think we've been outplayed in any game this season which is very impressive and we've been the better side in the majority of them. Trouble is, our results don't reflect that, we've won less than half and been beaten 3 times. No question are we building a top side here though, it's the fine tuning that turns tight games in our favour that's missing. We've only won 3 games by a 1 goal margin whilst all 3 of our losses have come from a 1 goal margin and with 9 draws, there's no question we're just that small margin off from being in a far better position than we are currently. I'm still confident we can do well this season. I thought we played very well for the most part tonight. Ultimately Leicester did what they've been doing all season, defending stubbornly and being far more clinical than anyone else. Bit worried about Walker's performance but I don't think anyone else walked off the pitch having played badly. Davies and Lamela were both very good. I could write a 10 page rant on what I thought of the ref tonight but I'll keep it short. Utterly clueless.
Probably more like Spurs 70% possession of playing the ball side to side but not troubling Schmeichel. Goes to penalties I think.
