There is a player in there though as 95% of what he does is very good!

I'd leave Aurier in a locked room with Big Vic armed with a pool ball in a sock. Won't see him no more.

Funny how the sneering twats lurking on the club Twitter in the first ten minutes are nowhere to be seen at full time, eh?

  7. We can win this competition, lads!

And I don't think I'm being delusional when I say that.

Excellent performance, Eriksen and Dembele controlled the game. More of that in the second leg. And talking about second leg, if Aurier had gone in with his left instead of his right, he would have probably won the ball, given away a corner and not a penalty. Hopefully that can be coached out.

  11. Davies made one mistake which could have crushed the mentality of some players. He went on to have a really solid game, didn’t hide and deserves praise for that. Game to forget? Really?

I bet no one wants to play us for the simple reason that when we get a result against a European giant, that giant was on the decline anyway

Well said! defenders always look bad when they make a mistake as do strikers when they miss a goal chance, or goalkeepers with a howler, midfielders get away with lots. Dier has been far poorer than Aurier who did lots of good work recycling the ball on the left. Sam thing when Davidson made a mistake recently. But regarding Dier as PNP rightly pointed out he's probably tired an in need of a break.

What a fantastic performance by Spurs. We really are a top level side these days.
Old Spurs sides concede 2 in the first 15 minutes and capitulate but this team is different gravy.
To camp in their half and dominate against such a prestigious side is just magnificent.
They were chasing us, they feared us and couldnt stem the tide.

We dine at the top table now and dont look out of place. Theres no reason why we cant beat them at Wembley, in fact i expect us too.

Very very proud of this team.

“LOL at Tottenham... Dortmund and Madrid.... lucky to finish 3rd.... group of death.”

    Win 5 draw 1. 16 points out of 18.

“Real Madrid and Dortmund aren’t the teams they used to be...”

Feel like I need to apologise to Dembele for thinking he was finished... He's back to his best and when he's at that level, I'd challenge anyone to name five better in his role. Although, where the **** has he been all season (excluding injuries of course)?! Had he been playing like that all the time, we'd be about 6-9 points better off (at least)!

Eriksen was also bloody superb, absolute magician and only de Bruyne can say he's better in the Prem in that number ten role. AND HE SCORED A ****ING FREE KICK AGAIN, OI OIIII!

Coco also had a good game, got himself about well and linked play nicely.

Davies chose to have his first poor performance of the season in such an important game! Chin up though, Ben, you've been excellent aside from tonight, lad.
Aurier <doh> he's so infuriating, massively talented yet so ****ing stupid at times.
Dier didn't have much to do such was the form of Dembele tonight but what he did do was poor, tonight he fully backed up @Spurlock's statement about being too laid back and lackadaisical. With Vic on the mend, he needs to up his game if he's to stay in the side on a regular basis.

I'd have 100% taken that result before kick off and at ten minutes in I'd have never thought it possible, we showed tremendous character to come back and with the sloppy mistakes aside plus one or two Juve moments, we dominated the best Italian side on their own doorstep. Dybala may be back for them at Wembley but we should have Toby and Vic nice and fit for then, too. Going to be a great game.

    Well done boys.

  19. Exactly!

We scored against a side that isn't used to conceding goals.
