  2. No doubt preferred for his European experience - continues to let us down on those occasions.
Mind you, Costa is feckin’ quick!

Apart from the first 10 minutes Spurs have dictated the game. They look the most likely and always remember the value of away goals in this competition.

2-1 HT. Where do we go from here?
We've had most of the ball and really stretched them at times, but some of our defending has been woeful.
With Davies on a yellow and Aurier looking rusty, could it be an idea to sub our fullbacks?
Would be an unusual move, to say the least.

Fantastic response, been all over them after the first 10 when we struggled to get to grips with them. Aurier nearly ruined it but we're very much in this, just need to stay calm.

Stuck my bonus bet £5er on a Spurs win at 20/1, definitely think we can do this, whether the ref starts giving us decisions or not.

Also **** off Hargreaves you moose nonce.

Struggling to think of something positive to say about that debacle of an opening 10 minutes, but put it this way: Spurs of yesteryear would currently be 4-0 down and probably down to 10 men. The first goal was unforgivable. The second an uncharacteristic error from a player who has otherwise excelled this season. Our response has been magnificent.

Costa's rapid but at the speed he was going it's doubtful he'd have got a good enough shot off at the angle he was (although impossible to tell in fairness).

Just don't understand what goes through Serge's head when he dives in like this, this is like the 5th or 6th time this season he's made stupid sliding tackles, some of cost us, others he's been let off.

They pressed us for 15 minutes then ran out of puff. Still very dangerous on the counter but it might be a very good second half. Sonny and Moura please on 60 minutes.

Higuain "just" offside? He's bloody miles off! <laugh>
No wonder the Italians weren't replaying that. It's not exactly subtle, is it?
Shocking defending, though. No excuse for that.

Both have positives and negatives. I’m not convinced by either of them and really starting to think that it’s a position we need to consider looking at again. I know that won’t go down with a lot of fans, but both scare the life out of me at times. I don’t get the same feeling from Davies and Rose.

Very good recovery that after a poor start. I am enjoying this, good luck in the second half though even a 1 goal deficit would be good enough if you play like this in the return leg <ok>

Missed it. Was that the first goal? I thought he looked just off.

Trippier is a really good player in my opinion, don't get the stick he gets when he rarely lets us down.

Aurier just needs to work on decision making and he'll make a great RB.

  19. Feckin pundits piss me off. He was a couple of feet off but they accept it. Harry was a lace offside against the Mousers and they dined out in it for a week! :emoticon-0121-angry

It's far from the first time this season and perhaps finally the bloody penny will drop with this lot. Like I said, it's fine against Brighton, suicide against the likes of Juve.
