Big club, little team. Not hurting I support a superb football team, you on the other hand, get lucky....
Unconvincing, at best. Really poor first half, though I thought we started the second fairly well. The sending off made it hard to judge as a whole, though. Bruce and the Hull fans will be fuming, but I think that Ramirez should be smarter and not give the ref that opportunity. There were a few players from their side that were walking a disciplinary tightrope, even in the first half. Hopefully Pochettino will notice that having a winger makes us far more dangerous. Lennon needs to play and he needs to be on the right.
I can't fault your perception sa1nts because we have been lucky but it's the end of season position that counts not the present.
We're playing like **** and we're still level on points with Arsenal and 2 points off 4th. If we can eke some improvements out of the team then I dread to think what would happen... Eriksen looked better when he was given the responsibility of playing in a central role a bit deeper, like Modric eventually did for us. Once we got width from Davies getting forward on the left and Chiriches(!) and Lennon on the right the game opened up. Whether that width in future games comes from wingers like Lennon or fullbacks like Davies and Walker remains to be seen but that element of our game has to be maintained. Whether the answer going forward is playing a 4-4-2 or 4-3-3 we need to stretch the game more and find a way to maximise Eriksen's influence on the game. The sending off was obviously the turning point, we did improve after the break but Hull going down to 10 was a big help too.
What a strange season it is overall. Level on points with Arsenal and 2 points off 4th placed Man Utd yet we're lightyears away from any kind of challenge for the top positions.
We also get whatever we want from you guys... Whether it be your best ever academy product, your manager or just the usual 3 points.
Most entertaining maybe. Quality wise only Chelsea are good enough. Everyone else has clear weaknesses.
