Without sounding too negative did any of us really expect anything else from this match. Watching us at home is almost a painful as watching us in the Europa league!
"9-0-1" And knowing Spurs passing is sloppy + slow passing away under pressure. I am not going to whine because tis not backs to the wall bus parking.
That's poor sportsmanship from Hull. The game goes dead in their half and they put it out for a goalkick? Come on...
"Might be an idea to swap Lennon and Townsend for the start of the second half. It's not working." Indeed. Lennon is not an "inverted winger" , he is an utter right wing speedboat.
It's a common tactic when you're under pressure, there's no way the lad was injured either but he's happy to go down "injured" and go through the whole checking for concussion process and another player went down holding his leg for good measure. Really enjoyable game though so far. At times we were excellent and at times we were sloppy but Hull have done really well.
According to NBC stats, we've had 65% of the possession and just over half of that was in our third of the pitch.
Glad someone thinks so! Lads, over half our starting XI are back-up players, we had to make 6 changes for this game cos of injuries and we already had Koren, Chester etc out! I wouldn't even say we've parked the bus that much, sure you've dominated possession but we had a 10 minute spell where we were on top. Wouldn't say there was that much in it. First goal will be crucial (stupid thing to say I guess, it always is).
"According to NBC stats, we've had 65% of the possession and just over half of that was in our third of the pitch." Similar to other games this season, no. Opponents have worked out Spurs players cannot pass accurately enough in the presence of a bus, and are too slow in the pass in general.
When the away support are more audible, it shows we're not getting much to cheer and get excited about.
It might look like a parked bus when we've got the ball but you're not afraid to get forward when you get hold of it. Dembele on. Was there an injury?
Sandro looked a bit out of steam and he was on a yellow. Too soon to be starting back-to-back games, I think.
