    1-0 Son (Alli assist)

2-0 Son (Kane assist, although the Mousers are probably howling that he was offside when he made the pass because referees are against them...)

That first goal was sooooo good. He saw the defender getting back on the line and had to place it in the opposite corner of the net to beat him.

The second goal, well, lucky there's no VAR, he altered his run up a bit in order to get his head on it. Superb pass from Harry.

  4. This post was after 30 minutes. Friend got even worse after that and the non-penalty on Sonny was one of the worst decisions I've seen all season - and there's been some contenders.
TTF it happened in a game where it want decisive!

    'Job done' performance.

No one really excelled, no one let us down either. Huddersfield had nothing about them, felt like a training session at times and it was easy for us.

Son's finishing was noooice. Unreal cross from Harry for the second goal.

Looks like it's going to be a massive three points as well.

Was it offside? Didn't look it to me but I haven't seen any measurements of it

A good crowd I thought. More than 68,000 for a game against Huddersfield in the freezing cold shows that there should be no issues with filling the new stadium. It could be said that there were a few too many 'new faces' but I shouted myself hoarse and dragged a few of the more reticent to join in with me. We actually got a couple of chants to go from the upper tier area directly behind the goal [Park Lane] across the whole of our end of the stadium.I scared a couple of little kids too. Sorry, parents.

Also, a lot of foreign accents - mostly younger faces. Maybe, new Londoners looking for a team to support? I'm all for this. Our support is ageing. Old WHL was heavily slanted towards 50 year olds and above. New blood is very welcome.

Singing will come if we lead the way. I'm very proud of how we've coped with Wembley. I was at the Chelsea game and left with very low hopes and expectations but we've made it work even though a chorus of....

    "We are Tottenham,
    We are Tottenham,
    Super Tottenham
    From the Lane,"

distorted so badly that by the third line it was impossible to be in time and it ended unnaturally early.

The acoustics are appalling. One of the many oversights that a very expensive stadium shouldn't have had.

Not only are the acoustics appalling, but before long the Stadium will be completely hidden from view, given the vast numbers of tall buildings being constructed around it. I assume most of them are hotels although why anyone would want to stay in that area is beyond me.

    Indeed.

I also felt that the "twin towers" aspect should have somehow
been put into the new design (I have similar gripes about new
WHL and the cockerel not being somehow put into the east stand) .

What are the plans for the cockerel ?

At the moment, it's in the reception area of Lillywhite House.

AFAIK, to go into the Spurs museum building.

Would be nice if an enclosure could be designed so
they could be easily moved between the museum and
the east/west stand main entrance areas on match day.

At least one of them is on display at Wembley on
    Spurs match days, no.

Atmosphere was always going to be a problem at Wembley, mate. I sit in the lower tier in front of you, there's a decent amount of us who all used to sit near each other in Park Lane so it's good to see friendly faces and knowing they like to chant but it's still not good enough due to the way Wembley is built for acoustics.

I'm predicting the atmosphere to be much better at New WHL, having watched and read interviews, it sounds as though the stadium has been built with the intention to replicate (and amplify) what we had at WHL so I hope they're telling the truth. Being as close to the pitch is also another plus point. I think just the general feeling of being 'home' will also help, despite the fact we've turned Wembley into a bit of a fortress now, everyone knows it's not - and never will be - home and I think that sometimes has an effect on atmosphere.

I think (or at least hope) the single tier stand should bring some excellent atmosphere, I was actually having this chat with my mates at Huddersfield and although it may sound harsh, I hope we don't get any of the typical West or Paxton followers in that. For me, the single tier is where Park Lane and the East (Shelf) will somewhat join together and look at trying to create an atmosphere that emulates the Yellow Wall of Dortmund or the Kop on a European night. It'll be a terrible shame if we're getting plastics/ prawn sandwich brigade/ those that prefer sitting during games mixing in with us. For me personally, days out at Spurs are more than just the game, it's about going with your mates and having a good time while also meeting up with other regulars and enjoying a good chant while cheering on our team. I sincerely hope Spurs do whatever they can to make sure the single tier is for the more vocal type of fans otherwise it'll be a waste having it.

There's been a lot of discussion during the snow on Skyscraper City about seating arrangements in the new South Stand.

There's been a standing row. Some have said that through age or choice they don't want to have fans standing up in front of them throughout the game, whilst they want to be part of the South Stand vibe. Others have suggested that they should be looking to sit elsewhere. The PL rules and law have received a proper review. I didn't know that Palace are having problems with the Holmsdale Ultra's standing spreading out of that bottom corner and upsetting other fans.

It's driven a full on consideration of the cost of season tickets, especially in the South of the East Stand. Apparently, the club have indicated that the new East Stand prices won't be cheaper than the West Stand. That's going to significantly impact my family who are Shelf Side born and bred. Losing that vocal East side would be a terrible loss. Understandably people are protective of what is 'their turf in their club'. I hope that things can be done to get most people what they want but I remain worried on prices.

  18. Poor old Crooksy rightly gets in the neck for some of his pronouncements, but he got this one bang on - particularly the last sentence! :emoticon-0148-yes:
