I do get a little confused on here sometimes, last season Walker and Rose were the best in their respective positions, now they are entirely expendable
Very few were of the opinion that Walker was expendable, hence the collective sigh of relief when we signed Aurier, a player who - if he sorts his head out - has the ability to give us everything Walker did and more. The Rose situation is obviously different due to his inexplicably poorly worded and poorly timed tantrum in the summer. For many, he has burned all bridges with the club and his ability is therefore irrelevant stacked up against the fact that many see him as a back stabbing ungrateful traitor. The other factor is the meteoric rise of Ben Davies. Other than perhaps BajanSpur, I don't think you'll find a single poster on this board who wants Rose to waltz right back into the first team when he returns to action. And this would be the case even without his summer tantrum, Davies has been that good.
I've never been there as a restaurant, but I did when it used to be the Kings Head, a rather old pub. I've heard (not corroborated) that it's owned by one of the Sugar family.
You appear to be confusing the word "expendable" with "indispensable" . Good as the above are/were, neither applies to either of them.
Perhaps we are the Academy for footballers advancement.Even Ronaldo could learn something here.Unfortunately we have to throw out some duffers from time to time. I'm sure a few come to mind....like Bent,Jansen,Soldado........
You do well at recent Spurs, and the only upward place you can then go is to the apex clubs (Carrick and Berbatoss to Fergie-era Man Utd, Modric and Bale to get Real Madrid) .
That's partly what I meant. Mind you, they are going to finish with more trophies and money than they would have got staying at Tottenham!
Especially going into a tournament (Europa League) and using it as a reserve tournament whereas the likes of Man U and Sevilla kill themselves to win it fielding their strongest teams. So whose fans are happier.....those that get to win....or those that don't?
