I blame him for my Dad sodding off not long after I was born...

    Actually no I don't, my Dad's just a ****.

I do however blame him for losing £300 in the casino the other week.

I've recently stated on a few occasions that I don't see a future for Janssen here, sadly. So for me, it's not one rule for one player, and one for another. - But deep down, we all wish every player in our squad success, including those who it's not working out for right now. However, as RCL said re Sissoko, it's the knowledge we had prior to signing him. We knew exactly what we may end up with, and so far we're yet to be proven wrong in any way. It makes him a good banter scapegoat. If we didn't have a laugh about it, other fans would be in our faces doing it. I know which i'd prefer.

Sissoko and Janssen need an upturn in form if they're to have a future here, that's not me having an agenda against them but it's just how things work.

Janssen we've probably been more lenient on due to him being younger and less experienced but at the same time, I'm struggling to see how on earth he hit as many goals as he did last season (Dutch defending jokes aside). He seems to lack some real basic predatory instincts and that's concerning.

Sissoko as RCL + Roo said was someone we knew about, we knew he was inconsistent, also the fact Geordies near enough threw a party when he left says a lot about how well liked he was. In fairness to him, he had a really good period for us of about 4-5 games but with 15 or so bad ones either side of that it just won't cut it here, not only with the fans but with Poch.

I still think you are prejudging a player before he has even had a chance. In fact both Sissoko and Janssen have not had a run as first pick and until you get to that point it is very difficult for a player to develop his role in the team. Even though it is many years ago I can still remember how difficult it was on the few occasions when I played in a team as a 'new player' . Sure this was low level stuff which should not really compare with elite professionals but I still think it is a big factor. Some players are able to fulfill the role, we had one recently in Chadli, but most players only thrive when selected on a regular basis so that their style and techniques are fully appreciated by the team.
If you judge a player by his performance for another team you may be surprised either way when he plays for another. I always remember that football is a team game and in the case of the current Spurs team this is very much the case. Our strength is the team as a unit, we are not as reliant as teams like United, Arsenal, Chelsea and City on having super star game winners. Not since Bale anyway.
You may be quite right that Sissoko is not going to work at Spurs but I suggest it's far too early to make that call. Remember Rose and Vertonghen or Dembeli and my own low expectation from Wanjama.

I guess we have to win the Europa League now that Paul Scholes has spoiled the Premier League season finale by saying the top four will be
    1. Chelsea
    2. Man City
    3. Man Utd
    4. Arsenal or Liverpool

Can't see that coming back to bite him...

Arsenal get smashed and Clattenburg leaves the continent. Please make it a hat-trick, Spurs.

As I said at the time, it doesn't really matter how the Sissoko transfer works out. Fact is one day I will gather my grandchildren around my easy chair, pipe in hand, and tell them all the story of 'the summer when Levy blinked'.

We witnessed history. That alone justifies the fee.
