Considering how bad the first half was in particular, and the fact we had a sending off AGAIN, 3-2 with a young and injured squad away from home isn’t a disaster. That could have been a lot worse.
Bentancur and Solanke can leave the pitch with their heads held high. The rest can ****ing walk home from Istanbul.
3-2 FT. Absolutely dreadful until we went down to 10 men and then we were the better team. Should've lost by a massive amount and somehow kept the score down. Awful prick of a referee can do one, too. Hopefully the club will be paying attention to our squad weaknesses and do something to address them in January. Getting in one fullback and registering Spence should help massively, for a start.
A shocking schoolboy performance. Several of those players should be giving their wages this week back to the club. That aside, the lack of on-pitch leaders (in general, MF) strikes again.
Yet another poor away result and performance by Spurs. Needs to be fixed asap if the club are serious about winning something. I still see Spurs getting no further than the last 8 of this tournament.
Ange was right to take off Johnson who needs to gain strength. He is too easily bullied IMO. I also think we should not underestimate what Bentancur brings to the team. Calmness, strength and a measure of control. We are much stronger with him
