Tbf to him, that's a difficult position to be brought on for last 10 minutes and try and catch up the speed of the game in arguably the most key role at that stage of the contest.

 

After working out why he was playing as a right-winger. Possibly.

 

Let’s give credit where it’s due - Emerson had a quietly very good game today. A lot of his real facepalm moments are where he tries to play a 40 yard ball or shoots from outside the box but he kept it largely simple when it mattered and defended well.

Thanks to the local council's moron with a digger my tinternet was down all afternoon and evening so I missed all but the last 10 mins ,3 points ,clean sheet, blood pressure normal

It looked like a more sensible implementation of 352 today. Yes your midfielders are going to have to press the inside right and left channels but it wasn’t as madcap as Skipp’s positioning a while back.
