We're playing a team who haven't won any of their last 6...and we're making them look good. #OnlySpurs
Their fullbacks have struggled since our wingers swapped. We've not created any good chances in that time, though.
Another half full of frustration, no cutting edge and wasted opportunities. Just another Spurs match then!
Lamela did really well to dispossess Berbatov in the middle of the park, then went on a very threatening run, but nobody showed for it. Poor anticipation. Walker nicking it at the end and then playing a half decent ball for Paulinho, but he'd have done well to score from it. I can't see Villas-Boas making any changes at half-time now, as we seemed to get at the more after the wingers switched sides. I think we need more creativity in the side, though. Townsend down the left, drop Paulinho deeper, push Lamela up behind Defoe and remove Capoue, for me. Won't happen.
Well, can't say we were any good. Can't say we were dull, either. Please replace Capoue with Dembele. He's on a card, and Dembele would be good for this game, and will want to play well against his own club.
You know what I wonder? What keeps me awake at night? A real puzzler - just what IS Aaron Lennon's best position? Who can possibly answer me this question? I mean maybe we should try him on the left see how he does.
Patience... it's getting better. It's also not surprising that when you play a team that has just got rid of their manager they are much better. This is not the Fulham that lost to West Ham in their last match. Of course you have to beat the team that turns up, but just pointing out that teams that have already played them this season will have had a slightly easier time.
I can't believe we haven't scored. I was sure we were going to get loads tonight with our open attacking full of flair play. Still 45 minutes to go.
It's looked better as the half has progressed and Lennon plays in his best position. WHY was he not there in the first place it's not exactly unknown that he is strong there is it! Once again a manager trying to be clever when the simple works better.
Andre ****ed up massively inverting the wingers again from the start. In our last game we were devastating on the right with Lennon, it's simply madness to change it. Inverted wingers can work very well but when it's not working for a team keep it simple and have at least one winger staying out wide. He sorted it out after 25 minutes but it was a needless waste of a quarter of the game! As for Paulinho's miss Rush of the blood maybe but I'd put money on Freund or Sandra scoring from there. Not much else to say about the players, up until we switched our wingers everyone was **** and after that everyone was good.
