I can't imagine Richarlison will start even with Solanke out it would be plain stupid, 20 mins off the bench is the best he can hope for. We know we won't start Lankshear so Son through the middle will be the choice.

I think Reggie and Spence should start at full back as neither can play in Hoffenheim on Thurday, but I don't trust Ange to make the logical decision so Porro will play.

Kinsky, Porro, Spence, Dragusin, Gray, Sarr, Maddison, Bergvall, Kulu, Son and Moore is the team I think Ange will pick.

I would go Kinsky, Spence, Regullion, Dragusin, Davies, Gray, Sarr, Bergvall, Kulu, Son and Lankshear

There already is an overhaul of the medical team underway, based on job postings on the club's Linkedin

Who would put Davies at centre half and Van De Ven at full back? Obviously doesn't matter, just found it strange.

You're right there....two defenders returning after serious hamstring injuries...you just know what's going to happen regardless of their positions!

It was actually a rather strange experience to have waited so long for the Newcastle feeling to return.

I've concluded that the better you do the worse it gets.... Mike Ashley's reign became very soothing because it becomes normal rather than just the occasional jolt to your limbic system.

Yes that makes sense... there is no hope and for some reason we all want to have it.

Kulusevski and Maddison on the wings takes away some pace, but I'm intrigued to see it. Both very intelligent players and it could work.

Interesting that it looks like Sarr starts at DM with Gray in the high pressing role
