He reminds me of De Gea when he arrived. Other teams are going to continue to target him at set pieces, nothing surer.
A couple of these from Venom in the next game should sort that out... please log in to view this image
in that case Dagusain(sp) committed 2 fouls in the box within about 5 mins therefore 2 pens , It cuts both ways
We realise that. We made world headlines by getting favourable calls against you. And haven't had a sniff since
He is very inexperienced in the league and having watched the game thought that was how you play here. Is he wrong?
no but as I pointed out using your definition Impeding a player is a foul. It is not a grey area. Holding a player is a foul it is not a grey area. The only grey is Oliver not enforcing the rules. (which is why you thought the bitters goal should be disallowed) to Dragusain would result in at least one pen
No argument. I am not looking for advantage I am looking for the rules to be enforced for ALL players.
Mistimed tackles can be difficult to judge but holding a player like a rugby man or playing the man with no attempt to play the ball are easy. The rules are clear. Judging hand ball in the penalty area is difficult so that we have the ridiculous spectacle of players playing with their hands behind their backs. We managed for over 100 years but suddenly all these decisions are difficult. There will always be contentious decisions but that does not excuse blatant ignoring of VERY CLEAR rules.
yes well even those very clear rules can lead to disagreement one classic example is when you were awarded a foul (upgraded to pen by Var) on Kane by Lallana when imo he should have been sent off for dangerous play and that fits your criteria of playing your man with no attempt to play the ball https://www.skysports.com/watch/vid...30/kane-defends-himself-over-penalty-incident have to point out i cannot understand why this behaviour as allowed in football considering the possible consequences and have been moaning about it for years .
Correct decision IMO I can't really see any argument. Lananla has crashed into his back. Kane is preparing for the ball coming down. He is already in position when he glances behind to see Lannala coming. Do you expect him to step aside? Even if he had time, which he didn't. I agree it was arguable that it was a penalty. It's a classic mistimed tackle in this case as both players go for the ball. It's not a deliberate foul by either player.
If he stepped under him as he jumped then I would agree with you. But he didn't...he was already there.
i see him look back and deliberately step back bend over to tip Lallana into a near head first fall . The clip i linked isn't the best view tbf as the one to see is the normal tv picture
