Three so far, so we only need the two in the second half

0-0 HT. Lots of hustle and bustle but little quality in the final third.
Kane should've got at least one, though. We wasted some decent chances.

Poor game between two poor teams.

    That's the measure of it.

Entertaining at least. We are playing at a higher tempo and it feels like we’re making more of an intent to attack than previous games. At times their midfield numbers have shown and at time we’ve been able to work around them and have some joy down the flanks.

We look short on quality though, decision making and execution in the final 3rd has been lacking. Son in particular a culprit. But nobody exactly shining.

    Officials haven’t been great either.

Not much has changed. Is Conte in a Stellini disguise?

We should be ahead and they are on course for another 1-0 home win. Son is just not the player he was Danjuma should get at least 30 mins and at least he will give the fans a different target for the boos.

Dare I say Perisic has done ok that half

Our biggest issue is there aren't many tactical subs available due to the various injuries during internationals other than bringing on a third CM, as the players we have available are either like-for-like options or taking a punt on youth

I’m feeling confident that the second half will bring great tidings.

Ndombele does at least offer entertainment

Entertainment in that our club record signing is trusted enough by Napoli to play maybe 15 minutes if the game's home and hosed...

No side has scored fewer first half goals than Everton in the PL this season (9 - level with Southampton).

They have failed to score a first-half goal in 21 of their 29 games.

    The Doctor is out, obviously...

Yeah it would be interesting to pivot to 4atb and there have been rumours flying around social media that we trialled that in training this week too. Wonder if we’ll try it if the game is still a draw midway through the second half.

4ATB would certainly be an option if Davies and Emerson were available, as we could play a right flank of Emerson at RB and Porro at RW that could be an intriguing option
