Of cpurse! But if he goes we have people to step in.(I have been reading that he may want to move to pot city somewhere).
Spurs were excellent yesterday so Sam's preferred tactics were never likely to be enough for Everton. Just too good for them. Spurs seem to have come to terms with playing at Wembley after an indifferent first half dozen or so home games. Next up at Wembley.....
Superb the way he has fronted up this season. After Kane and Toby, he should be next in the contract upgrades list.
I'll post this here, because it seems relevant to the game itself. Walcott to Everton? It might work out for the club and player, but is he really what they need right now? Pace in behind might help them, but are they aiming to play two up front, given their recent signing of Tosun? If so, then what happens to Rooney and Sigurdsson? Seems a bit of a strange one, considering that they basically don't have a left-back at the moment, as Baines is out.
Will Rooney last,do you think or have Everton just bought for a season or two? He certainly started well but slowing down now.....and doing sly things when someone goes past him.
A situation that we should be keeping an eye on, in my opinion. Makes you wonder why various managers keep overlooking him though, doesn't it?
That's a habit that many leading England players fall into when they start to lose that vital yard of speed. They become sneaky and vicious. Bryan Robson, Alan Shearer......... etc. Sad, but true.
Shearer was a dirty bastard even when he still had that yard of pace, it's just nobody was paying attention to how dirty he was other than those marking him who routinely got elbowed, kicked, stamped and studded at every single set piece.
Rooney's going to hurt someone soon. his tackle on Jan was vicious running his studs down his achilles tendon. At Goodison, he took Dele out for being too fast for him. Against Liverpool, Bobby Madley should have sent him off but allowed Sam to sub him before it became unavoidable. That inevitable injury'll be down to all the officials letting him get away with this stuff. The media don't want to know either. It's pathetic.
He didn't get worse, he just started getting booked for it. By complete coincidence, this began after he retired from England duty.
