Well,if Toby wants to leave we may not miss him with these defenders. Rose too.

I was impressed with Jan.So calm and only lost the ball when chopped...and he was, many times!

I wonder if Poch tells Dele to speed it up?It wouldn't do any good.He does everything at his own speed.....and it usually comes off.

  2. Of course, all the talk is about Harry’s ‘offside’ goal.
Well I haven’t seen one clip or pic that actually shows it. None are in line and the Lino was 3 yards behind play anyway!!

Don’t think VAR would have overturned the decision, that’s for sure!

Now THAT is why we love our beloved Spurs. When we get it right we are a joy to behold. The swagger, the flicks, the nutmegs, outside of the boot passes, that 2nd half was glory glory Spurs at times.

Yes Everton played into our hands by playing such a wide open team (credit to them for having the balls) and yes they arent great, especially defensively but our pressing all over the pitch just bullied them into submission.

Much harder tests await for sure - Next month is going to be tough and season defining but we are in a great place at the moment, playing with confidence, scoring goals and we have a striker that hardly misses at the moment. Alderweireld and Rose back soon. Its all looking good for that last push, lets pray we win the Fa cup. This team deserves a trophy.

If we could just find that magician that we sometimes lack in the big big games or agaisnt teams that park the bus, then this team would be very special.

  4. Decent win in the end after a so-so first half. Some great football at times and a sumptuous 4th goal. <cheers>

But for me, the highlight of the game was the reception given to Lenny when he came on <applause> <smooch>
Brought a tear to my eye :emoticon-0106-cryin

I actually thought Alli had his worst game for a while. Made some excellent runs and covered lots of ground but looked so indecisive (lacking confidence?) in possession and at least 3-4 really promising moves broke down because of his final ball. Eriksen like you said had a mixed game - beautiful crossfield ball for Aurier in the build-up to our first and a really nicely taken goal, but would be such a world class player if he just put a boot in and took the bruise every now and then. 'Flaky' is too soft a word; I was chatting to a friend about him today and he asked me 'do you remember the last time Eriksen was injured for more than a few matches?' Must be going on 3 or even 4 seasons now and to my mind this comes as no surprise considering he doesn't get stuck in, ever.

Delightful to see Dembele back to his majestic self. Jan sheer class and Davies rock solid. Aurier's delivery needs a lot of work but at least he looks to take on his man at every opportunity. If only we could arrange a foot transplant with Trippier we'd have one heck of a full-back. Lloris needs to be banned from kicking the ball. If he receives ball to feet from a defender he must either pick it up and concede an indirect free-kick or tap it out for a corner. Both scenarios are significantly less dangerous than the option he apparently sees as 'distribution'.

Son easily MOTM today and the way he handles post-match interviews is really impressive. Knows exactly what to say and how to say it, comes across as a really humble, down-to-earth guy who just loves his football. Brilliant signing.

Big Korean following could produce a Korean sponser like KIA or Samsung for the stadium.

Blinding performance. First time one of my Cousins attended Wembley today so may have to force him to come more often if he brings that sort of luck.

Son incredible and easily MOTM, Dembele's best performance of the season, looked like the Mousa of the past two seasons, Davies and Dier brilliant, Harry smashing records left, right and centre, Aurier probably had his best game in a Spurs shirt while Jan and Dave untroubled.

That fourth goal was so ****ing sexy I might be able to search for it on PornHub later tonight.

Did not expect a annihilate a Big Sam side like that, lovely to see.

Son finally has a song, too! Albeit very basic but at least he finally has something, essentially it's "Nice one, Cyril" but subtracting Cyril for Sonny.

    Well done lads!

Back from the game. 76,000+ - a very good attendance for a televised game. A decent atmosphere, especially in the second half. It's a shame that we went flat in the first half after the goal. Still, a great evening's entertainment.

Sonny was really fabulous, and finally a song for him. Jan and Mousa were imperious. Serge Aurier is getting there but he does switch off occasionally and I'd like to see him cross earlier but he's like Kyle Walker, pre-Pochettino.

My friend was incredulous concerning Hugo's kicking, which is similar to my feelings, apart from the swear words I tend to use on the subject.

I don't know what Sam was thinking. Going toe to toe with us is not advisable when you've got a team like they have. We really should have had 6 or 7. My godson went home with his flag and Harry Kane badge and has asked to go again soon. Got him.

  18. A great result, today.

I was worried that this could be a banana skin for us, but we were imperious in that second half.

    And that 4th goal!

    Superb!

Let's hope the Red Mousers screw up, tomorrow, so we can storm into 4th, where we belong.

In my opinion Toby is the best central defender in the world, although Jan is close. Any team in the world would miss him.

A very comfortable performance against an extremely underwhelming Everton side.
They only managed one shot on target against us in two games and become the first side to lose to us home and away in this Premier League campaign.
Lots of positives to take from this one, but I was worried by Ben Davies limping about near the end. Hope he's ok.

I could see what Allardyce was going for with his lineup, but he made a couple of quite big mistakes, in my opinion.
Cuco Martina's a crap right-back, so having him play on the other side and having Sigurdsson covering was always going to be an issue.
Aurier had all the time in the world down that wing, at times.

The other problem was their lack of creativity in the middle of the park.
Gueye and McCarthy are decent players, but they're both more defensively minded.
Subbing on Schneiderlin for McCarthy was more of the same and a playmaker was sorely needed.
Maybe risking Sigurdsson in there and sticking a proper winger in front of Martina would've helped?
