a nice slant to the situation but call me negative but i see it as this...a 10 point gap between us and 4th blown to potentially 1..thats a worry regardless of the fixtures remaining as a losing rut isnt easy to get out of.

He probably does well with them in training, but that's because we're **** at defending them!

That's more as a result of us being dire at all types of set pieces (and by us I mean every player on the pitch).

Kaboul may as well take the direct ones - it'll have the same effect as Van der Vaart taking them.

  4. Blimey, that's a bit of a departure for you!

No doubt you were better than us for some time this year - but you were warned that the 'power shift' might not last very long...

Going to be a tight run in, but if you don't finish above us this year it's going to be a classic - the best since Lasagne Gate.

im not being funny here but it is something about Spurs that seems to take away free kick abilities from players...do we ever have a good free kick set up? the likes of VDV even look rubbish on dead balls for us most of the time.

Well that is exactly what we deserved, we had no creativity, played right into everton's hands by having no width for the majority of the match, dodgy team selection and a lot of overinflated egos who think they can just turn up to win.

Firstly let me start with team selection.
GK and back 4 pick themselves and I don't think anyone can really say they would have played a different combo. However as we progress up the pitch, it baffles me why Harry continues to alter what we all know is our best FORMATION. Now that may not mean we always play our best players. However if that means we have balance and players know their roles it can only lead to the TEAM playing to its best ability. Playing both Sandro and Parker initially is a mistake. Of we do play them both, a sacrifice has to be made upfront, with someone filling the huge void between the DM and strikers. Also playing modric out wide defeats the point of playing him at all, and with Bale on the right, he cannot do what he is best at.

Next overinflated egos. Thus is not the first time we have seen our players look like they aren't bothered. Adebayor, Bale, Kaboul, Sandro all looked like they would win this game just because THEY, the chosen ones, we're in the team. Well done, you are good players but only if you try. It's a joke, show us why you're paid so much money, you don't deserve it you overpriced, overconfident, big headed egos.

We won't get third, we will be lucky to get fourth, I could see us finishing sixth in all honesty!

    From the BBC live thread:
Dave in Manchester texts: "Remember after their poor start to the season Redknapp said speculation over Modric had negatively affected his side? Well, is Harry big enough to admit that his own situation is now affecting his team?"

    I have to agree.

Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp, when asked if his side deserved a draw: "A draw? It was the most one-sided second half we've seen. We've battered them in the second half.

"We didn't do a lot wrong first half. It was one-way traffic. We just couldn't get the goal.

"We got well beaten at Arsenal - they battered us second half. Last week we were unfortunate against Man United and we were unfortunate here."

    ---------------------------------

Fair enough on the 2nd half - but the 1st? Really?

Yes Mr Redknapp, we were unfortunate.
We were unfortunate that you decided to have a brain fart and pick a stupid formation, with the two best players we had on the pitch out of position and a dirty great hole between our midfield and our strikers.

Who could've foreseen a system with two holding players and two wrong-footed wingers as a midfield lacking any width or creativity, though?
Oh, all of us could? Yeah, I forgot, sorry.

Someone, a couple of weeks ago, said 'No Bale? No problem?' referring to us being a one-man team (think it might've been during the Man Utd match actually).

Perhaps we are a one-man team - our system relies on Aaron Lennon playing. If he's not playing, the setup fails and everyone's out of position.

Who knows whether our system depends upon Lennon or not, Moorpheus?
Redknapp never plays it unless we've got a fully fit squad.

The best players don't always make the best team.
Redknapp obviously likes Parker, Sandro and Livermore, so he's trying to shoehorn them all into getting some game time.

it is any one single change in the team Moorpheus...we change anyone single player and the whole team goes balls up.

We don't make one change though, Dona.
We lose a player and we lose our whole system.
    It's ridiculous.

true...i see no logic in his loan outs either...Townsend thrives when put on the pitch....i would have had Rose in and Modric tucked in...we could have spent on Hoilett..offered something hard to refuse and he could have fit in easy...in the long run it would pay dividends by helping us maintain 3rd instead of be looking over our shoulders...and its all because of this England rubbish....call me dramatic but i think we wont develop further with Redknapp..we need a manager who can take us to the next level...for me Harry has taken us as far as his abilities allow.
