Fair ****s to coach and players for that one. But it is only a QF win, so a lot of work still to be done to prove that this wasn't just a one-off.
Looks like Lazio next. Struggled in their quarter final, so should be beatable if we play like tonight.
On paper, I would say Athletic Bilbao are the favourites (though their recent record in European finals is not good) and possibly Lazio are slightly ahead of you (currently 3-0 up against Bodo/Glimt at ET). But honestly, I think there isn't a massive variation in quality from all the sides which are left, so I'd say you have as good a chance as anyone else. It would be an interesting (and irritating) conundrum though if you finished around where you are now, but won the Europa...could you really sack Ange if he wins it?
If he wins Europa then I think he keeps his job but like Ten Hag would probably be sacked before Christmas. There’s the chance he wins it and walks away of course
There is no comfort in Spurs being in the Nth circle of football hell just because Man Utd are in the N+1 th.
If you finish 15th but win the Europa League, you'd sack him? You would have ended your 16-year trophy drought, won your first European trophy since the 1980s and you'd qualify for next season's Champions League. Ok yes, your domestic form has been nigh on unforgivable, but surely, winning the Europa would compensate for that?
