Agreed. I was at the Marseille game and there were empty swathes of the more expensive seats in the East and on the Shelf. It doesn't help that we weren't exactly drawn in a 'glamorous' group. And there isn't the novelty of CL football anymore either. We've played some of the biggest names in football in recent years and that excitement is difficult to replicate at the prices being quoted.
Football is supposed to be entertaining and enjoyable. Results have been ok but Spurs are pretty boring to watch these days. It’s all quite predictable and workmanlike. Why spend loads of money to go to the game when you can just as well watch it on tv.
We need to drop Kane a bit deeper or get players in and around him if we want to continue hitting the ball into him. We needed to control this game really, and now we have to take off the brakes a bit.
