Looking in more detail their record is similar to ours. They have played three teams in the top seven and got draws and beaten everyone they have played from 8th downwards (only by a single goal except one 3-0 win). We should be more than a match for the top seven in the Russian League so I'm quietly confident. Hope RCL sees this and makes appropriate balancing comments...
I can't remember it ever being easy for teams visiting Russia, maybe that's to do with the winter climate or the length of the journey to get there. At least the weather is not very different from here atm so will not be a factor but long plane journeys (however pampered) do effect performance. This is where top players have sufficient skills to still put in a performance despite not being on top form and this, Spurs seem to have shown already this season.
In Soviet Russia, football team chooses you! Brilliant. I wonder if the interviewer spotted the meme?
Trippier and Lamela replace Walker and Sissoko. I thought Pochettino might do that. Big risk, but he's got the City game in mind and is rotating with the whole campaign in mind.
Not much creativity on the bench if plan B is needed. The starting XI have to get this game done and dusted ASAP.
RussianSpurs was a chap on old 606 that used to go on about kicking his cat if Spurs lost. He then started up a campaign to get everyone to prepend "DEATH TO MODORATOR"(sic) to their usernames.
The In Soviet Russia... meme takes a normal situation and reverses it. please log in to view this image It's very, very old.
