I trust one of the best managers around. He knows how to manage his teams. ( in the first years ) Yes , I am surprised at no Bale or Vinni but Jose knows what he is doing. I don't think we should be criticizing him- he is where he is and we are here. I would actually be thinking about starting with Vinni on Wednesday ( with Kane ) as a presence in a weakened back 2-no VVD .
It wasn't a criticism just a statement of fact that it was a surprise that these 2 players who have generally been in our match day squads were not included today I will bow to Jose's superior knowledge, but personally I am not convinced that taking players off the second after they are instrumental in our 1st goal and then leaving them out completely is doing much for either of the players confidence.
Mourinho wanted Ndombele out of the club this summer and he's still here only because Levy banged their heads together. He didn't rate Lo Celso either when he turned up...he also didn't get de Bruyne or Salah in his second spell at Chelsea. Mourinho's as fallible as any of us and I'll stick to questioning decisions by anyone who manages us when they look odd or wrong.
Think it’s a bit risky to go full strength today when we’ll likely need to go full strength against Pool in a few days time, it’s asking a lot of the players. No Vinicius is a poor decision too in my opinion too. Should always have another striker on the bench.
