Pushing the fullbacks up isn’t working, KWP isn’t left footed and Trippier is in bad form

 

WTAF has happened to Trippier. Everything he touches turns to ****.
And I'm concerned for Skippy. Young lad needs to be brought on slowly in games when the pressure is off or at least in a full strength team, not made the centre of attention in a cut and thrust cup tie when we're playing a reserve 11.....

Nkoudou should be helping KWP out more. KWP isn’t going to comfortable creating an overlap for a left footed cross, because he’s right footed. But Nkoudou is always inside and not giving him the wide option to receive the pass and then beat the full back.

Trippier’s strengths have been sussed and no one lets him play to them. Take that away, and he’s average-poor.
That’s whats happened to him. He’s just limited, it’s not his fault. The problem is that we keep playing him, despite this.
