That’s what I wanna know too, why don’t they play? I can understand not using the fringe players against Arsenal, Chelsea, West Ham etc, but there are times where we can utilise certain players in a minimal rotation set up against lesser sides so that it can keep them ready to step in when required. I agree, we seem to be on the same page just reading it differently.
We both agree that better rotation is needed in terms of in game management, and match to match management. What I’m saying is that there must be a reason why Poch persists with the same players, resulting in us never seeing the fringe ones. The reason for that IMO is the reserve options are not up to scratch in terms of doing a job and getting a result, and too much of a risk in his eyes, so we persists with what he knows. - the same players each game. The outcome? - fatigue and injuries. The solution? - upgrade the ones who haven’t offered us anything with fresh signings, and/or promote the academy players.
This has been a horrible 2 weeks, 3 losses, 3 important players out, 3 missed penslties and out of both cups... Here's hoping the bad luck has gone
