Also confused about what you can do to players who don't have the ball in the box. Against ManC, Fazio was sent off for bringing down someone off the ball. In this game Rose was taken out in the box, and in our Chelski (away) game, Lamela was taken out off the ball in the box and nothing given in either case.

actually thought that Dembele had a decent half. Stombouli was excellent and linked well with him. Walker looks like he's never been away. Great to have him back.
It was as much a dive as Chadli's. Virtually no contact and he threw himself on the ground. You can blame the pitch, if you want to give him the benefit of the doubt.
There's no consistency with penalties, some you see given and others you'll see the attacker booked for diving (Fabregas) Personally I thought Chadli was lucky to escape a booking for diving, but on another day you'd see that given as a pen. It really grates on me when pundits talk about players being 'entitled' to go down when defenders make contact, and often you'll hear them say 'he did well to stay on his feet, but what has it done for his team? He should have gone down and he'd have been given the pen'. I know the pressure to win is massive, but I don't like to see this type of gamesmanship.
It looked worse than it was, but Fazio could have been in hot water if the ref had decided he'd tripped him. Probably a good decision in the end.
