Goal difference doesn't matter in the CL at this point.

It matters for the grey matter of Spurs players/manager and supporters.

Much better, but they were awful - However you can only beat whats in front of you and we did just that - 4231 is clearly key - Ndombele was superb, tackling, running, passing a proper all round midfield performance my MOTM for sure - But Son was excellent, Lamela a close 3rd - Kane looked fit and hungry,.Davies made a perfect case for booting Rose out and Sanchez improved as the game progressed, no one played badly and even Serge did ok- Well played Poch and the team now don't fiddle with it for Sunday more of the same please.

A result AND performance to be proud of.<party>

If Poch makes any changes to that XI on Sunday he needs shooting. They’ve all earned the right to be there.

I’d much rather be looking at a table with a positive goal difference rather than a negative one.

Tanguy Ndombele plays for Tottenham Hotspur.

    Let that sink in.

Davies was everything that Rose no longer is and hasn't been for the past 2 years.
He stayed with his man, refused to be pulled out of position, did not get caught under the flight of the ball and did not fly into tackles that he could not win snd then trot back as the opposition bombed forward into the hole he left on the left of the defence.

This reduced pressure on the rest of the defence as they were forced to fire fight and could concentrate on their responsibilities.

Davies defended first and foremost and stayed wide when we were going forward creating space in the middle.

For all of Lamela's poor finishing he was class tonight...his corners are a huge improvement on those from he who wishes to leave.

Son, Dele and Kane exploited the gaps created by our width really well with great movement.

Ndombele was like Dembele in his control of the ball but was more attacking and Sissoko really snapped into tackles.

Gazzanigga constantly screamed at the players telling them where to be when ever the opposition had a goal kick and they did as they were told.

But the best thing was the speed of our passing and watching the players demanding the ball and demanding that team mates moved into space.

Was a great change to the previous games imo.

Shows what is in them when the mind is right.

We need a positive result against Pool to really build on it tbh

Gazza had a massive go at Lamela in the first half when we were defending a corner, he told him to mark a certain player, Lamela's body language was like "****, yes sir!". Love the way the Argies/ South Americans are all best mates but tear into one another on the pitch. I've seen it with Dave and Foyth in the past too as well as other times when Gazza's been in goal.

Once he’s settled he’s going to be a beast on the ball

Off the ball understanding needs some work doing...I put that down to understanding and adapting to the pace of the PL

Yeah from a creative/ attacking standpoint he's exactly what we've been crying out for for years, even when Dembele was here he lacked that creative side.

The defensive aspects is why I think a fit and on form Dier is the best partner for him because he can take a lot of that defensive pressure off of Tanguy, but having said that, Sissoko's all action style isn't bad either, he and Tanguy clearly have an understanding already and a bit more time together and it should work well/ even better.

Basically anyone but Winks (sorry in advance Winks lovers!).

  17. I’ve never rated Winks.

He must be a good player for Poch to rate him, but he doesn’t seem to fit with what we actually need.

I’m with DH on that one. He’s a good sub to have on your bench to bring on under rcertain circumstances, but if we seriously want to challenge for top honours he’s not of high enough calibre.

He’s what Cantona would call a water carrier, IMO.

He's a nice bloke and works hard but Tanguy is showing there's levels to the talent and ability we need at CM.
